4:35 am
cabs. but what they've done in years past is they will bring the trophy out and do a meet and greet if they do what they did in 2010. it's just a question of when they would be arriving, after picking up their baggage from that charter plane to get over here. they could be arriving in the next half hour or so. you got say a good hundred people who have been out here for quite some time. marian, you said you haven't even about to sleep, though, right? >> no. i listened to kuipe on $ radio because i like the way they announce it. i knew they would win.
4:36 am
>> they're pretty awake for being out there that long. thanks a lot. overnight street sweepers cleaned up litter and leftover debris getting things ready for the big parade. but it will be a much different story tomorrow and last night the streets really belonged to the fans. ♪ giants >> now most of the celebrations around second and king streets were peaceful and joy us but there were some trouble spots. numerous police officers were hurt while they tried to get the crowd to disperse and put out bonfires. one officer had to be taken to the hospital, several people were arrested. in the mission district court, fans set fires. at least two people were shot,

4:39 am
this is morris's first world series win after nine season in the bigs. >> wow, look at those pipes. >> and apparently brandon bell got his turn with the big trophy as well. he tweeted out from the plane "yes, yes, yes." this is the first world series for brandon belt. >> you know who probably is the happiest? skipper bruce bochy because he will likely now go down in the hall of fames as one of the bes coaches of all time. you know what's so cool? i've been here for all three world series. i don't even know a giant that isn't a champion. we do have increasing clouds and

4:41 am
headlights off the high rise and toward 2830, 192, they're all moving at the speed limit at least. moving nicely past willow road and toward the city with just your typical overnight rain crews. also heading north to san francisco. >> twitter and ibm teaming up. details in a live report. >> but we have other news debee sides just the giants. >> hard to believe. >> and what u.c. berkeley is saying about the upcoming visit of talk show hose bill maher. >> now that's the initial call but check out the replay. can you see the ball reaches the bag for the out before the runner. panik celebrating his birthday today, 24 years old!

we're going to be back right after this.

the man teammates called madbum was named the world series mvp. he can put that trophy next to his nlcs award. he pitched 52 2/3 inning. to top it off, he claimed to the save in last night's win. originally they gave madbum the win but changed it to a save.
4:46 am
he is 5-0 with a .250 e.r.a. >> congratulations to him. apple pay's rival has been hacked before it even comes out. unclear at this point how many e-mails were stolen. that program is backed by cvs and rite-aid, who refuse to use apple's programs. jackie has a look at all your business headlines. good morning. >> good morning to you. let's start with a look at the markets this morning. futures are pointing to a lower open after a roller coaster ride yesterday afternoon. traders are mulling the at the

ramifications at the decision to end the bond buying. meantime, investors are awaiting the latest figures on jobless claims and edp. meantime, hoping to revive the personal computer, h.p. unveiled an ambitious new desktop pc. it ditches the keyboard and the mouse and features a touch matt that actss a a second screen and a bildt in projector that can scan 3d images. and ibm will mine the massive amount of tweets to help advertising executives. >> so much valuable information. we've got change coming to the forecast as well. >> yes, we do, and a parade
4:48 am
coming up momentarily here. hang on one second. we're going to actually check in with bob redell. >> oh! look at the buses coming in. >> check that out. take it away, bob. >> reporter: yes. >> so there you have it. we have the team buses arriving at at&t park to a crowd of about 100 fans excited to see them. their flight arriving at 4:00 at sfo at 4:00 this morning where they clinched the win in a 3-2 victory over the kansas city royals. if this is anything like what happened from 2010, some of the players, hopefully bruce bochy will bring the trophy out for the fans to touch and take
4:49 am
pictures and talk to us and do that sort of thing. that's what they did back in 2010 when they arrived early morning at about this time. 2012 was a midday arrival. hey, good morning. how long you been up? you been out all night? >> what's that? i can't hear. imagine that. >> reporter: have you been up all night? >> we went to bed for a little while. we live right down the street. >> reporter: why was it important for you to be here? >> let them know they have fans back home waiting for them to get back. >> reporter: how many copies did you get? >> four. >> reporter: one for each of you? >> one for each of us and two for friends. >> it's awesome to see their face when is they saw this newspaper. you could see them on the bus. >> reporter: thanks for talking to us, guys. they're selling those papers for $1 apiece.
4:50 am
fans were snatching them up about 30 minutes ago and the chronicle newspaper man was saying tomorrow they'd be going for 5d apiece. so i do see players. that looks like -- boy, i can't tell from this distance. looks like it could be posey over there maybe in the suit. i believe that's what he was wearing when he left here the other day. let's walk down here, steve. maybe we can get a little closer. looks like the takeneam's cominf the bus after they were escorted into the park by san francisco police. hopefully somebody will grab that trophy and bring it down the line so us and the fans can take a look at it. >> no, you're not pulling up in front of our live shot. back up. no! unbelievable. you got to be kidding me. this is unbelievable. of all the times he could be
4:51 am
doing this, no. that's just so annoying. >> i appreciate you are trying to warn them. >> reporter: i just think the timing, of all the time you could be possibly moving this, does it have to be moved right now? >> let's see. there's mike krukow. >> oh, there's steve! the president and ceo, larry baer is walking over here. i assume he is. he better be walking over here. he can hear the fans behind me. >> there you go. you can hear the crowd of fans behind us. we'll see if we can get larry real quick. hey, larry, good morning. can we see that trophy real
4:52 am
quick there? >> we're going to have to kind of maneuver all this table. >> very persuasive. can he actually get larry baer to bring over the world series trophy. >> and his photographer is well on the move. >> we're going to get over there, guys. it's just a little maneuvering. >> that was amazing. look at all those people out at 5:00 in the morning to see the trophy and the players. >> that's fantastic to see, the crowd, the players, the trophy. i even saw larry baer wearing one of the new world series t-shirts there. >> how many hours consecutively do you think these guys have been up? >> they probably slept on the plane a little bit, if you could at all. >> what larry's zog he's making the rounds to the other side of the barricade. and you can tell he's been up for a long time.
4:53 am
he's got his giants t-shirt on. over here, come over here, steve, to your left. hey, larry! larry! hey, larry! larry! can you show us the trophy over here, larry? hey, can we see the trophy? >> that's our boy, bob! >> what do you think, a third time? >> it's amazing. i think we're still in a trans. we didn't need an airplane to fly us home, that's for sure. >> reporter: what was it like on the plane? >> the plane was just giddy, sort of in an altered state of happiness and euphoria. they got it done. this group was really -- there's a lot of comparisons with the three but this group really felt that they earned it because they defied a lot of odds. nobody predicted to us do anything in the playoffs, including the pittsburgh series,
4:54 am
the one game with pittsburgh. >> reporter: compare this with the other two. >> it equally wonderful, but to do it a third time, people think that there's a special thing going on in this clubhouse and i think there is. a lot of these guys now will have multiple championships. >> reporter: do you want to say the "d" word? >> i don't know. that's for others. everybody there is just appreciative with the experience this year and bringing it back to san francisco, especially to the fans who sold out this ballpark over and over again. >> reporter: what do you think the common denominator is that you've been to the world series three times? >> the common denominator is they never give up. this belongs to the fans and we're not done. >> where's madbum?
4:55 am
we want to see him. >> madbum is probably pretty groggy right now. you'll see him friday for sure. everybody will see him friday, as well as all the other players. so we'll put this to its resting spot for a couple days. >> thank you, larry. >> reporter: thanks, larry. >> he's referring to tomorrow when the victory parade will be down market street for the third time in five years. that was larry baer, president and ceo of the organization, who has been here for quite some time. he was here for the 2010, the 2012 and of course last night's victory. this again very reminiscent of 2010 when they came out here during the morning with that trophy to show it to fans. i feel bad for fans who maybe weren't aware this was going to be happening because it really not that early and look how close you're able to get to the trophy. compare that to tomorrow when
4:56 am
there's going to be thousands upon thousands of people, 10, 20 rows deep down market street. it's a very intimate morning and there you saw the president and ceo. it looks like it's been a good night but a long night for him as well after that plane trip where he said that the players and him were just giddy and in a trans. he wouldn't use the "d" word, the dynasty word, he said that was for others to use. that's certainly the word the san francisco chronicle was using on the headline of their process. fans have been picking these up for a buck a piece. the newspaperman says get emtoday for $1 because tomorrow they're going to go up to $5. >> bob, good job because with all that action literally happening right before our ice, grabbing larry baer and seeing all the players, it got to be so exciting to be out there. >> what it looks like right now
4:57 am
i'm guessing this united truck might be the luggage truck for the players. so i'm wondering if the players might be coming out to get their luggage but it's hard to tell. we'd like to of course talk to madbum but you heard -- madison bumgarner that is. you sa he said at the end of the game he was exhausted and that no surprise. >> "to the fans, this belongs to you", the exact word of larry baer. you have to go back to the 40's to the cardinals to find another team that has done it. very cool. and bob directing traffic and directing larry over to do an interview. >> doing whatever we can to give ut the most giants coverage that we can this morning. hopefully we can hear from the players as well. they no doubt have to rest up.
4:58 am
big parade tomorrow at 12:00. we have coverage of all your giants world series title and players this morning. >> we'll be right back.
4:59 am
5:00 am
broken bat base hit into right. the throw is cut off and it's 3-2 giants in the fourth. >> it happened all the way back in the fourth inning but that was enough to seal the game and the world series for that matter. i'm sam brock. >> and i'm laura garcia-cannon. your giants are the world series champions once again. all that's left is planning the parade. the team will start at market and stewart streets and head
