this maun sean korey told his victim he hates fox news before grabbing his microphone prop. korey then attacked the victim with a tennis racket. he was arrested. as many as 5,000 people marched in minneapolis to protest the nickname for washington d.c.'s pro football team. the crowd gathered outside the stadium when the washington redskins played the vikings tonight. carried signs, played drums, and chanted. the rally was held calling the red skin name derogatory and calling on management to change it. the university of minnesota demanded that the vikings limit use of the redskins' team name and logo inside that stadium. >> well, we you will all know that coordinating rides for your kids can take a lot of effort, but we do get uber for your child? an uber-like service called shuttle has more than 100 drivers ready to take your kids around. but is it safe? nbc bay area's ian pulse took a

we're two days into november, but some folks are getting a taste of winter. this is in maine. heavy, wet snow bringing down trees and power lines and making roads a slippery mess. the system brought a blanket of snow for fans of today's broncos game in massachusetts. a blizzard there. >> it was. >> not only that, but -- >> first snowfall is always the hardest because it hits us the fastest, and we don't really know -- a lot of people are unaware and don't really know what to do. >> in tennessee this weekend's snowfall already setting new records with heavy snow in the great smoky mountain national park. north carolina and georgia are recording their earliest snowfall on wrord. >> seeing some of the pictures, it's kind of cool to see it, of course. >> we need more of those

pictures. >> in auerbach yard. >> that would be nice. >> we are watching that pretty closely. >> around here the sierra picked up about ten inches of snow. of course, through the weather system we had yesterday, now we're seeing chilly air kind of settling in on to the bay wrar. right now already 42 degrees. hoil in the north bay. 50 in san jose, and tomorrow morning we'll be waking up to temperatures possibly in the upper 30s and low 40s around the north bay. earlier this morning mount hamilton, thanks to the recent rain some left over moisture and low level clouds in the morning. gorgeous skies out there. north wind. clear skies right now. there's a few looking back down towards san hose way. nothing getting in the way of that. no fog around the south bay. no clear skies overnight. should allow morning temperatures, mostly in the 40s. a chilly start to the day. we'll see high clouds at times moving from north to south, and temperatures for the afternoon

tomorrow, 60s to some low 70s tomorrow. then the trend is going to be going a little bit warmer here as you head towards the middle part of the week. you can see that in the forecast at the bottom of the screen. now in the month of november, this is the first of our five typically wettest months around the bay wrar. november there on the right into january, february, and march. what's interesting is that with our recent rain that we did pick up just yesterday, november, we should be talking about rainfall coming in by the inch or more. now, the system dropped about a quarter inch of rain around san francisco, and what's interesting is you expect to get a lot of rain november and december, but the pattern we're about to see, unfortunately, gets the rain well off to the north. it's basically from the oregon coast up towards western washington. the futurecast from today all the way until next sunday. unfortunately, that's going to stay way off to the north. high clouds in the bay area. despite the fact, yes, we did get rain and snow this last weekend. it doesn't look like we're going to see much. that's sunday, 7:00.

next weekend looking quite dry. the storm pack stays off to the north. the first half of november, maybe even out towards veterans day, unfortunately dry for northern california. we had a nice start to november, but short-term over the next few days going to the workweek. things are looking dry. tomorrow, again, a chilly start with mid 40s around northern hill. high temperatures close to 70 in san jose. san francisco, the upper 60s. north bay temperatures some of the coolest spots will be dipping into the low 40s tomorrow morning, and maybe upper 30s out by palastoga. 74 for the afternoon in santa rosa. pleasanton and livermore, low 70s tomorrow. watch what happens over the next five days. temperatures towards the middle part of the week. close to 80. santa rosa and livermore. tri-valley and saratoga and south of san jose. we'll be looking at a lot of fall sunshine. temperatures near 78 in downtown san jose. look at san francisco too. mid 70s for the milgtsdz middle part of the week. as you head towards next

is caused by people looking for parking. that's remarkable that so much energy is, is wasted. streetline has looked at the problem of parking, which has not been looked at for the last 30, 40 years. we wanted to rethink that whole industry, so we go and put out these sensors in each parking spot and then there's a mesh network that takes this information, sends it over the internet so you can go find exactly where those open parking spots are. the collaboration with citi was important for providing us the necessary financing; allow this small start up to go provide a service to municipalities. citi has been an incredible source of advice,

how to engage with municipalities, how to structure deals, and as we think about internationally citi is there every step of the way. so the end result is you reduce congestion, you reduce pollution and you provide a service to merchants, and that certainly is huge.

in the first half austin appeared to come out of the end zone and then go back in and derek carrier tackled him. it wasn't called a safety. also, late in the game, colin kaepernick believed he scored the game-winning touchdown by taking it a quarterback sneak. it was ruled a fumble. after both of those plays, the lead ref said when he cited the replay, there wasn't enough visual evidence to overturn those calls. >> all right. the former 49er. impartially. what did you think of the controversy? did you think they should have overruled it, or did it look like a fumble for you at the end with kap? >> it did look like a fumble. when you really look at the film and look at the center never moves his feet, so the center gets stood up right here. he doesn't move. capper neck doesn't move.

he has to redirect it aside and that's when the problem started. right there when the ball comes out, and it just is all downhell as he falls as well. >> he might not have fumbled that ball before the touchdown, but there was no way you could prove that with that video. you could not tell exactly when that ball left his possession. >> no. not with all the cameras they have on the field. there was no way the referee -- there was no way he was going to figure out when the ball was gone, if it was gone, if he was down or anything like that. >> right before the half, another controversial play. tevon austin. it looked like the 49ers sacked him for a safety. he takes the missed field goal. you're allowed to run that out. he decides to run it out. they ruled they tackled him before progress was stopped. this would have been a two-point difference.

>> another issue was the offensive line wresh talked about that all we're. they had eight sacks. you were a fwi that tried to sack the quarterback. eight sacks. this is a team that had six sacks total for the whole season coming in the rams. they get eight on one game. >> that's just poor execution. yes, greg roman might be putting hem in great situations, but this is just poor execution. maybe they're not getting collected when they're checking off. you got a rookie center in there, but you can't put it all -- you have staley and big-time veterans. those guys really need to hold the line down.

to our sideline and operated like an airplane and kind of buzzed us and taunted us with the fact that they had finally beat us. i knew then he was something special. >> what are your recollects of playing for coach seifert? >> coach seifert, he was a very, very superstitious guy. >> he was? >> he was very superstitious. so we would be in training camp. john teller would come over to me, hey, stubby, watch george seifert put a mitt in his mouth. every time he put a mitt in his mouth, he would blow on it three times and then put it in his mouth. every preseason, whichever game we won first, however his hairstyle was, that's what he wore for the whole year. >> really? >> yes. yes. and that's if way he always tucked his shirt in and pulled his pants up high. he was very superstitious. >> i didn't know that. you also said he wouldn't yell, but he would give you the needle. say hey, you're going to protect those guys. but he wouldn't scream. >> no, real quiet.
