it thr a group of republicans says it will move to block the president's plan of immigration even before the republicans take control of the senate. scott mcgrew, we were talking about civil discourse between the two sides. what's going on here? >> this new group does not want to let him go it alone and the president says he go it alone today. the wall street journal says 50 members of congress plan to attach language to the bill which would bar the president for moving unilaterally on

area. people are certainly waking up to wet roadways. let's check in with meteorologist christina loren. >> yeah, everybody at home, give yourself a little extra time this morning. for a good reason. we've got rain. a lot of you have been asking when will the rain arrive. this morning the heaviest stuff is already starting to clear out of it. a lot of it came down while you were sleeping. we're still going to see light, spotty cells. i'm watching a steady plume of moisture racing toward the bay area right now. this could give us another wave of decent rainfall. at this point it does look like it's going to press to the south. your cells are light and spotty right now. by about 5:00, a few light cells

because he was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle. he tried to carjack two people, failed. but was successful in his third attempt. it did scare employees. >> we thought the guy was coming towards us. >> could you see anything? >> cops. and a guy with a gun just running toward the scene. >> so you saw the suspect? >> no, i saw cops with guns. >> concord police have yet to publicly identify the suspect but they did tell us that he had been convicted of several felonies in the past. reporting live here in concord, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> it is 5:34. a key witness is expected to testify today in one of two federal cases against five san

francisco police officers accused of illegal search and seizures. that's when the san francisco public defender's off released video. as a result of those claims, dozens were. >> as we're on the topic of corruption charges, suspended state senator leland ye will be tried by himself early next year. a federal judge? san francisco made that decision yesterday. in april he was indicted on corruption charges. he was among other people, including raymond "shrimp boy chow" who were all over the bay

good morning, tracie. >> good morning. in recent years, we've heard a lot of the keystone pipeline. many democrats are against it. now suddenly some are doing an about-face. it has to do with a senate race down in louisiana. mary landrieu, a democrat, is still fighting for a chance to represent the folks down there. she's facing a runoff against a republican who is in the house right now and that's happening december 6th. she had supported the pipeline, unlike her party leaders. and now some of them are saying, okay, they'll back off in hopes that it can get approved to help her win reelection. on the other side, on the house side, the republicans he's running against, he's got a brand new bill to support the pipeline. they're racing to get them to the president's desk, but the white house says they're still suggesting a veto. there are environmental concerns, state department is
