wheel well and managed to survive a fly to hawaii. >> an unidentified surfer was last seen face down in the water yesterday afternoon near rockaway beach. they called off the search just before 10:00 last night. >> a teen-ager is recovering at a south bay hospital after a dramatic rescue. it started with a 17-year-old boy fell from a cliff. the boy tumbled 30 feet from eagle rock peak and then 70 feet more below the brush below. he was found in an area not accessible by helicopter. >> what really is unusual is for a person to have survived the fall. we're feeling good that this individual is conscious and talking. >> crews say the boy was

conscious when they found him. he's recovering from his injuries. >> yesterday morning a bus veered off of i-5 and rolled down an embankment. one person is dead, 30 others are hurt. just two hours before that -- >> we got reports from passengers who said the driver looked to be asleep or fatigued. >> the bus was on its way to washington state. there was a relief driver on the way to the crash.

the attack happened yesterday afternoon at a crowded volleyball tournament in eastern afghanistan. authorities say a suicide bomber detonated explosives in the middle of a large crowd. the crowd was filled with young people. at least 60 more are hurt. no group is claiming responsibility, but the local government believes it has all the markings of the taliban. >> elsewhere in tall ban, we're learning two nato servicemen have been killed. a bomb attached to a bike blew up near a military convoy. >> and in ferguson, there's still no decision by the grand ju ju jury, though many are calling

for calm, including president obama. >> these people know if they walk out of the grand jury and have not invited, they may have created a massive riot in their city and throughout the united states. >> officer wilson he shot michael brown in self-defense. >> in cleveland a 12-year-old boy died sunday after he was shot by police. a caller called police and said the gun was, quote, probably fake. >> there was a guy, there was a pistol and he's pointing it at everybody. it's probably fake but he's scaring my son. >> police told the boy to raise his hands but he reached for the gun instead.

mill valley, over 3 inches on the valley floor. that's impressive. and the north bay point reyes over 3 inches for you. san francisco came in with over an inch and here in the south bay as per usual we were impacted by the santa cruz mountains but still not too bad. just under 0.4 of an inch for us. we have some aftermaths this morning from the showers that came through and the cold front as well. our ground is nice and moist this morning. it cold enough for frost. even colder this morning if you're headed up towards tahoe. 18 degrees where the snow machines are on this morning and they picked up some really good snowfall over the weekend. we're going to talk about that coming up. really looking good up there, though. here's the deal for us this week. high pressure is firmly in control. this is going to keep our sky mostly clear. you'll see some high clouds

moving through this ridge of high pressure. lots of sunshine and temperatures that are mild if you want to get outdoors, you're going to have four good days to do so with that sunshine coming in. in san francisco look at this, we got another rond of rain on the way towards the end of the week. this is going to drive in a mostly cloudy sky by thursday and then i stop that clock for you. friday by 2:00 p.m., good looking rainfall back to the bae going to be traveling home after a big thanksgiving meal, which i am really looking forward to. we're going to talk more about how this could impact your travel and about thanksgiving turkey because, guys, after all that one time of year you can indulge, eat all you want. >> and overindulge, too, right? >> yeah, give me the yam. >> the president of the university of virginia meeting with fraternities this morning to start a month-long

investigation to an lajd rape on campus. a recent "rolling stone" article detailed what it called the culture of rape on the campus. the school has suspended all fraternity activity until january. >> and a judge is expected to rule on a key piece of evidence ahead of the potential trial involving pedro hernandez. in 2012, hernandez confessed to abducting and killing this boy. no body was found.
