6:15 am
how that net neutrality is enforced is the argument. the obama administration wants the fcc to regulate the internet like a utility. republicans in congress want legislation instead. it's mostly the who, not the what. speaking of fights, depending o who you believe there may be a big battle between google and uber. google is uber's biggest earliest investor. reports say google is working on its own ride sharing service and uber is working on its own robot cars which is google's specialty. uber will work with carnegie-mellon the research and develop robot cars. carnegie-mellon helped invent the robot car ten years ago, back when we used to think, wow! robot cars? that's amazing. google has logged nearly a million miles in dryerless cars since then and it's moved to its second model, not this one, but very similar to this one that doesn't even have a steering wheel. it makes one wonder why uber wouldn't want to use one of

temperatures, already blowing past your daytime highs when we get to lunch time. as we head throughout the mid section of the week, temperatures as you can see clearly here are going to drop off and then we have a lot of rainfall, much needed rainfall right here in the bay area, starting on thursday morning. areas to the north of the golden gate bridge will see that rain by thursday afternoon in san francisco. friday into saturday heavier rain comes through and i'm going to give you an idea of the timing. it's one of the weekends you really want to make those indoor plans. i stop that clock for you at 10:00 a.m. thursday, at that point getting into moderate rainfall, the top corner of sonoma county, continue that futurecast and stop it again between 9:00 a.m. and excuse me, 9:00 a.m. on thursday, and 9:00 a.m. on friday, just to give you an idea of how slow this system is moving, everything stays north of the golden gate bridge when it comes to the heavy stuff. i move you forward in time, stop the clock again. we have to wait for the heavy rain until 9:00 p.m. on friday here in the south bay. so here's the thing.
6:19 am
temperatures are going to be ñver very slow moving warm area, and for us, that means we're going to see ample rainfall when you get these cold systems that originate in the gulf of alaska they typically don't squeeze out a lot of moisture. because this taps into the atmospheric river we're talking about measuring rain in the two to four inch range that's widespread. down here in the south bay i think it will be more like one and a half to maybe two and a half inches of rainfall, but we're looking good for six plus in the high elevations of sonoma and marin county. so go ahead and make those indoor plans. if you wanted to get up to wine country shouldn't be too bad especially indoors tasting. peninsula looking good saturday and sunday for the mid-60s and the rich moisture and down in the south bay, we're still going to see some warm temperatures coinciding with the heavy rainfall. so we'll talk more about that. i'll show you the totals on the map. maybe you think geographically like me. i'll show you in the next report. first checking your drive is it
