drive across the san mateo and dumb barton bridges. fog, low clouds registering for the north bay through novato and the tri valley in livermore. 580, toward the dublin interchange. the south bay not so much but i did get enough mist on the freeway it triggered one or two swipes of my windshield wipers. developing story out of the south bay, police are trying to figure out what led up to a double shooting outside a san jose sports bar. >> bob redell joins us, good morning. >> reporter: san jose police telling us they do not have a suspect yet though we did see them temporarily detain several people outside the dzo sports bar and restaurant where two people were shot last night. this business is located in the east side of san jose on alum

rock. two men were shot, each at least once according to police, both taken to the hospital. their conditions unknown and as you can see in this have you had yo, officers force several other men to sit on the sidewalk. they searched one of the men. police won't say how helpful the possible witnesses were in figuring out what led up to the shooting. as i mentioned alliq$e the peo who were temporarily detained were released and as i mentioned no suspect or suspects yet taken into custody. reporting live in san jose, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> working on some credible leads there, thank you. an argument on the san francisco street corner ended in gunfire and this morning two men are in the hospital with life-threatening injuries. the men were standing at the intersection of 17th and cap streets in the mission district 7:00 last night. the men got into an argument with another man who pulled out a handgun and opened fire. no description on the gunman. the mysterious death of a

gilroy man earlier in the week is being investigated as murder. the victim has been identified as 56-year-old robert heiser. officers were called to his home monday morning on reports of loud noise. he was pronounced dead on scene. yesterday officers released this surveillance video from a convenience store in san jose. these two women you're about to see here were spotted using heiser's credit card. they're persons of interest in the case. >> i can't speculate as to how they came into contact with the credit card but they are of interest to us and we'd like to speak with them and identify them. >> police don't think the murder was random but they don't know why the victim specifically would have been targeted. neighbors say heiser lived in the home for nearly four years went to santa clara university and has older children and grandchildren. new backlash against archbishop and having his students sign morality clauses. hundreds gathered for a vigil to protest the new requirement. the new rules require teachers

bullied." honda has been long recognized as a long time supporter of equal rights for the lgbt community. >> 4:35. a massive explosion at a southern california oil refinery could mean higher gas prices. the blast rocketed the exxon mobil site in torrance yesterday. you can see the mangled metal and ash covering the facility. the refinery produces 10% of the gas sold in the state. some economists are predicting a bump at the pump of up to 20 cents a gallon within the month. a state senator is expected to introduce new legislation today repealing personal belief exemptions that allow parents to opt out of vaccinations. u.s. senator barbara boxer is injecting herself;r> vaccines are one of the greatest public health achievements of the 20th century. they have saved hundreds of thousands of lives according to

furniture, a pool heater and bikes from a home next door to his current project. he says he thought the home was abandoned and no one would mind. vanilla ice is facing charges of grand theft and burglary. an axe versus pepper spray. you think the axe would win but a store clerk used a tiny can of pepper spray to chase off a teenage robber armed with the axe. the clerk says the teen ran into the store swinging around an axe. the teen hit the counter leaving a large gash in it, when the clerk sprayed pepper spray in his face. the clerk said the teen became hysterical and ran outside. >> he was crying for his mom. better to have bills or problems but some of us get up at 6:00 in the morning to work and some of us get up at 1:00 in the afternoon to rob somebody else, that's the way life is. >> when the teen got outside he ran into the waiting arms of two fbi agents who happened to see the crime go down and took care of it from there. >> it is 4:50.
