foothills. by 11:00, noon, showers develop. livermore, san jose, like we saw on saturday, those showers, bill lowed up and eventually produced some very strong storms, even some hail across the san jose. and even near pacifica and daly city. now, no wide hail event. one or two may produce hail like on saturday. the thing about it, it'll move out quickly by 2:00, 3:00, the showers die down and as the sun goes down, i think we'll be done with the rainfall. and unfortunately, it's not going to be a lot of rain this go around. tenth of an inch under the downpours, and if it you don't see the downpour, probably won't get rain as we round off the rest of the day. notice, we head towards this upcoming week, temperatures on tuesday, by thursday, in the 70s, and that trend is going to continue into this upcoming weekend. in fact if you're thinking about things to do friday, saturday, sunday, sonoma country, look at this, sonoma wine country, 80 degrees by saturday and sunday, even across 17 mile drive.

5:21 am
and done so simultaneously. the big difference was, it wouldn't have taken us weeks to interpret the data and to find then where the engines finally stopped. >> the trial is expected to use satellite-based positioning technology. it's already on board with 90% of long haul aircraft. 5:21 right now. incredible video of a sky diving accident. an australian man says last november, he jumped out of a plane at 12,000 feet and suffered a stroke. you can see it there in midair. he says he spent the next 30 seconds unconscious in a free fall. amazingly, his jump master was able to go over to the rip cord, and even made it to the ground safely. frightening. >> wow, amazing. 5:21 right now, how your favorite bay area city could find it's way into the next version of moe monopoly, coming up. ieverything online. just abot

5:31 am
mcgrew joining us down. this is not the first threat from isis against the san francisco company. >> no, that's right, in fact they've made a threat against twitter what in the fall of 2014 as well. turns out twitter does a pretty good job of frustrating it's isis by deleting it's account. this morning, someone affiliated with isis posted that graphic in the cross hairs along threats written in arabic. we should point out, we have no way of independently verifying who wrote the threat, isis or someone affiliated. maybe somebody who has nothing to do with isis. on the internet, you just can't tell. twitter responded with the security team it is investigating the veracity of the threats with relevant law enforcement officials. again, not the first time this twitter seen the threats. the peculiar thing is jack dorsey been he's the founder of twitter, also the chairman of the board, but he's not really been the face of twitter in quite some time. you know, why isis does, what it does, i don't know, but when they said dorsey, i thought, you

"today in the bay's" bob redell live at the livermore police department this morning, bob, this marks the city's first homicide since 2012.
5:33 am
>> correct. good morning, and at two and a half hours, police are expected to hold al news conference to update us on this double shooting that took place yesterday afternoon and what is usually a very safe part of town. this happened around 4:30 in the afternoon. in the street on altamont creek and winding stream drives. right next to altamont creek elementary and in a park where kids are actually playing at the time. according to police, there was an argument, then several gunshots, when officers respond, they found two men in the 20s lying in the middle of the street. one of the men died on the scene, the other at the hospital. the shooter did escape. took off in a car. and around 9:00 last night, police did find him in another part of town where they arrested the suspect. he is a man who is also in his 20s. >> at this point we believe it's one suspect. we're not sure what the relationship is. >> not something that goes on around here, it's kind of
5:34 am
nerve-racking, it's really, really close to home. >> reporter: police did apparently find a gun near the scene. they tell us that the men involved, both the victims and the shooter were not associated with that neighborhood on altamont creek road but didn't elaborate on what led them to be there. we hope for clarification on what is this city's first homicide in about three years. since 2012. reporting live here in livermore, bob redell, "today in the bay." >> normally pretty quiet, thanks, bob. all right, now over to oakland where police are offering a $20,000 reward for help catching the person who shot and killed a 14-year-old boy. the victim walked with friends on brookdale avenue near coolage in the fruitvale neighborhood saturday night when someone shot at him. the police chief says the department is doing everything possible to track down that shooter. woman is being treated for life threatening injuries after being mauled by the pit bull. the dog attacked them biting them in the arms, legs, and

5:36 am
alto. police came up with a sketch of the suspect in this particular incident, base on the that little girl's description. the 11-year-old told officers she was walking her dog on el dorado near brian avenue when a man was hit zitting in her car -- sitting in her car. he watched her again. the girl told officers he was sitting naked from the waste down. you can imagine what he was doing. he is described as a white male, in his mid-30s, mid-40s, medium build, and short, dark hair with a goatee. the girl says he was in a newer black hatchback with a tinlted rear window. here's the thing though, that suspect description matches the other four cases that were reported back in october here in palo alto. the car description is different. officers do want to know whether or not it is the right person or the same person. in those cases, the person who exposed himself to girls, the victims were 10 to 14 years old.
5:37 am
and in covering prior cases like this here in palo alto, we know they say they aggressive ligate these because they just don't want the behavior to escalate. in palo alto, kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> keep him off the streets, thank you. 5:37 right now, workers in oakland getting a raise. starting today, the city's minimum wage goes up to $12.25 an hour. that's the highest minimum wage in all of the bay area. but it does come at a cost. restaurants say they'll now be forced to raise their prices or hire fewer workers. some restaurants are even considering covering the cost of the 20% service charge in lieu of a tip. what's going up in the bay area this week? that would be our temperatures which anthony has already started teasing us with, it's only monday, anthony, thanks a lot. >> looking at the weekend, right? never long enough. this morning cloud cover that's building across the moubs. camera shaking around a little bit. that's the next storm system that's pulling into the bay area as we speak. no rain right now. the rain is across northern

parts of california and eureka, along the coastline, as it makes it's way down across the coast, eventually we will see showers here across the bay area today. now the thing about it is it's going to be hit and miss, and you'll notice we put the sense of motion in the future. it's not going to be rainy for everybody today, 9:00 this morning, the main band of showers pushes up against the coastline. if you live at the coastline, showers this morning, otherwise, everyone else will be dry. it's not until about lunchtime, 11:00, 12:00 when we see showers develop more widespread, and some of these could be pretty strong. we're talking about this one cell near livermore, san jose, 11:00, 12:00, and the showers will diminish for the most part but still be around until 1:00, 2:00. then after the sun goes down, they will fall apart. this system, similar to what we saw on saturday. the potential for some lightning and thunder does exist. and some small hail possible with one or two of these storm systems that does form. now the thing about it right now, we're dry and really just
5:39 am
cloudy throughout, it is chilly. temperatures in the 40s, and that chill will be with us all day long. good mix of sun and clouds for the north bay. san francisco, you'll get a brief shower at 62, but the best bet for shower and thunderstorm activity more widespread activity will be from the tri-valley, the planes, and the south bay day. temperatures will be back into the low 60s. of course we'll be tracking it all day long and you can download the nbc bay area app and track the storms from your doorstep if you're not by your tv. let's talk to mike and the roads. anthony, folks in the city. that's the big issue of the morning right now. san francisco, city streets are all right as we approach off the northbound 101 as you're coming up to the bayview area, 280 or san bruno up towards the area. because you do not have access, north 101 to north 280, still there and word from chp, the tow truck will clean up the fuel spill there. that won't be there until after 6:00. another half hour at least for that closure to continue as the
