they say they are sickened by this video. they have shut down the fraternity and they're looking into whether the students may have violated the civil rights act. this morning members of sigma alpha epsilon are packing up, given until the end of the day to move out of the fraternity house. their chapter suspended in disgrace and the university of this. there will never be a [ bleep you can -- >> now new allegations that this behavior is nothing new. >> it is not an isolated >> we talked exclusively to an o.u. senior who asked that we not use her name or show her face because she didn't want t be associated with the fr she went to an sae party and heard the chant on the bus. >> i wasn't surprised. >> we have learned that others

appreciate it. the u.s. ambassador to south korea released from the hospit overnight nearly a week after was attacked by a man with a knife sustaining serious injuries and he's opening up about the incident and his nbc national correspondent pet alexander has that story. hi, peter. >> reporter: hi, matt, good morning to you. mark lippert is walking, talking, holding his baby and hugging his wife. early this morning, lippert sa he's always felt safe in south korea and this entire episode only strengthened the bond between the two countries. >> you know, i feel pretty dar good all things considered. i mean, it was obviously a sca i got a little rehab left to d the face feels really good, but thank to the great medical professionals i feel, like i said, pretty darn good. >> it was just one week ago wh lippert was viciously attacked while a breakfast lecture in

seoul suffering a four-inch slash to his face and cuts on his arm. the dramatic aftermath all caught on camera. >> call an ambulance. i need an ambulance fast. >> lippert's alleged attacker was quickly tackled to the ground and taken away by ambulance while loudly protesting u.s.-south korean exercises. lippert received 80 stitches a an attack that raised questions about how the suspect was able to get so close to a high-ranking u.s. official. lippert was assigned one unarm bodyguard bodyguard. today lippert was grateful. >> i want to express my profou gratitude to those koreans and americans alike who so bravely and selflessly responded to th scene of the attack. >> reporter: and he said he's looking forward to getting back on the job. i am eager to get back on this strong and dynamic relationshi and i will do so now with more purpose and enthusiasm. >> reporter: today ambassador lippert said it would be premature to speak about the attack himself.

boston bomber dzhokhar tsarnae after investigators revealed powerful surveillance video of that attack and its aftermath. pete williams. >> reporter: prosecutors say these videos never before show publicly were gathered fro dozens of surveillance cameras assembled together the fbi say they show dzhokhar tsarnaev with his brother walking along the marathon route with bombs in their backpacks. a key piece of evidence is surveillance video on boylston it shows dzhokhar tsarnaev, ma a phone call, then leave witho the backpack and seconds later the bomb goes off. after he's there a while, prosecutors say his backpack c be seen resting on the sidewal a few minutes later tsarnaev makes a quick phone call to hi brother, the fbi says and walks away and then comes the searin white-hot flash of the bomb. witness after witness describe

have collided in mid air. police in washington state are poring over surveillance vi they're looking for the man wh tried to abduct a 2-year-old boy. police in the small town of sprague say the man you see in this video grabbed the boy and ran away. the boy's two young siblings yelled and ran after the abdu they were being watched by a babysitter and playing unat the man dropped the boy unharm two blocks away and the incide appears to be random. as if the boston area hasn been punished enough this winter. four of them totaled by huge chunks of falling ice. thankfully no one was in the cars at the time. the ice had formed on a pipe that ran up and down the building as you see there, but when the weather warmed up, th giant icicle came crashing down. the problem with the big thaw and the big melt going on now, but we'll take it. we'll take the nice warm up, >> one of the cars, the woman only had 600 miles on her car.

started with a 3-year-old irish setter whose owners believe was not the intended target. >> was this the intended target of a murder? before irish setter pot noodle went to to win best in breed at the prestigious dog show. he changed benches with the identical setter jagger. >> hopefully jagger was just the wrong dog at the wrong place at the wrong time. the co-owner says the preliminary postmortem showed three pieces of meat that appeared to be laced with toxins like rat poison or slug killer. >> i just think it's some person with a grudge against dogs or the show. >> 22,000 dogs compete and even though competition is fierce, allegations of death from poisoning are rare. still, the last incident at a major dog show was in 2013 at

>> katy, thank you so much. >> now a story that has security officials concerned. many airport employees use special i.d. badges to get through and in some cases around security and hundreds of those badges have now been reported missing at our nation's busiest airports. scott friedman, the investigative correspondent for our dallas station kxas has the latest on this. scott, good morning to you. >> reporter: matt, good morning. for airport workers those i.d.es ar like a key to the airport, helping them enter places where the public can't go, but what happens when those i.d.s go missing? could they end up in the wrong hands? at big airports all across the country, tens of thousands of workers with i.d.s that let them in through a side door, skipping security altogether. now an nbc news investigation finds hundreds of these i.d.s known as sida badges have gone missing. >> this is serious. >> it's very, very serious.

>> larry used to head security for american airlines. >> would terrorists have an interest in getting their hands on these badges? >> oh, without question. >> nbc requested records from some of the nation's largest airports asking how many i.d.s are unaccountsed for. atlanta sent us this letter saying more than 1400 badges were lost or stolen over approximately two years. >> reporter: before we can get that information from other airports like dallas-ft. worth, the transportation security administration stepped in and said we couldn't have those numbers. tsa said it's security-sensitive information and they don't want to say how many badges are missing at each airport, but police reports we obtained from dallas-ft. worth international show more than just i.d.s disappear. employees have reported lost or stolen university shirts and an entire fedex pilot's uniform and credentials and badge which allow a pilot to carry a gun on a plane. experts are quick to point out

stolen i.d.s alone would not necessarily allow someone to walk right in to a secure area. >> every year a port employee that receives a badge is required to report if that badge is lost or stolen. at that point it's immediately deactivated in that computer system, but some security officials still fear bad guys could use stolen i.d.s to cause other problems even without getting through the secure doors. experts say someone wearing an i.d. badge might have a better way of hopping a fence. in fact, someone wearing an i.d. badge on the tarmac might be less likely to stand out. any time you can acquire uniforms, badges and authority, that's a huge problem and a big threat. >> at most big airport, employees need to scan their hand or enter a code to get in along with their i.d. protecting i.d.s and uniforms is key. >> i treat my access badge like

cash. if i lose it, it's gone. what's your message about the importance of protecting their badges and it's our safety and security, not only for crew member, but for our customers. >> atlanta and dfw airport oibles sent a statement reinforcing they used multiple layers of security and atlanta does not believe the missing badges pose a significant threat because the i.d.s have pictures of the employees on them and they require a pin number. meanwhile, the tsa tells us they're conducting a nationwide review of security at those employee entrances looking at ways to make them more secure including possible i.d. checks at the door. matt and savannah. >> they seem to be down playing it, but i almost thought i had misheard you when you said 1400 badges missing in two years in just atlanta? >> reporter: just at one airport, matt. they do have 60,000 employees there to put that in perspective, but it does make you wonder how many are missing at those other airports across the country.

in on the use of hormone replacement therapy to treat menopause. that was the go to treatment for years until a decade ago. we have an nbc news medical doctor with us. good morning. >> good morning. >> so let's start with first what this review shows. >> basically, the review sort of reaffirmed our position that hormone replacement therapy in the majority of women not used for cardio protection means that we don't recommend it to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. the issue is that in women who start hormone replacement therapy within five to ten years of menopause, there may somebody beb fit. >> okay. and let's talk about the benefits versus the risk. what we're talking about here is that in this age-group, if you start hormone replacement therapy within five to ten years of menopause, there might be a slightly decreased risk of heart attack and death from all cause as well as no increased risk of stroke. but the risks across all ages including an increased risk of
