area. she says there was no notable weather at the time of the trash. it is headed to impact the search. here's the actual plane we were talking about. this was taken last year. it is a french made airbus 320. this is a subsidiary of lufthansa group. tom costello reports the plane is widely used and it is used by all experienced rebels. it is highly automated we are dundant computer back-up programs afternoon. a tweet this morning the heads of lufthansa writes, we do not know yet what happens to that flight. my future sympathy goes to the family and friends of the passenger and crew. if our fears are confirmed, this is a dark day for lufthansa. we hope to find survivors. again, finding survivors is highly unlikely, according to french president and according to aviation experts. the flight crashed above the altitude that it would be a likely culprit.

demanding money for her return. joining us now in villejo this morning, bob, do we have any leads to this point? >> reporter: good morning, to you, sam. it's been almost 24 hours since denise upton was allegedly abducted. you can see here we're a few blocks away from the home where she was abducted from, where the solano county office of mortgages services set up a temporary search and rescue headquarters. presumably, they will send out people to look for her once the sun comes out. this is denise up torn. take a look at this. in case you are able to recognize her, maybe you have seen her over the past 24 hours. this is a local why she wassing a duct abducted from. police sell us they received a phone call around 2:00 yesterday afternoon from a tifrt-year-old man saying that denise upton had

been forcibly taken an was being held for ransom. no other details are released at this time from the police department, except they are telling us they will be holding a news conference later this morning at 10:30. this is an image of her car. that was stolen at the time she was taken. police have since recovered that. they have not said where they found it. unfortunately, there is no sign of denise along with that car. again,itative called in the fbi to assist them since this is a kid mapping. they believe she is being held for ransom. if you saw her, call police. reporting live in villejo. >> we will of course continue to follow that. thank you very much. a developing story, authorities in san francisco were searching for an inmate who managed to

escape from the county jail. stephanie, what do people in the area need to know? >> here at the hall of justice, this is where inmates in the alley, behind those pylons below is where there are a couple of dumpsters. they were out of the driveway. they were walking there right now. that's where they lost sight of them. they shot 26-year-old alexander santiago, he is on the run. he is 5'6," brown hair. he was wanted on possession of drug trafficking as well as possession of a firearm. several crews have been helping deputies track down this man. they also immediately notified

surrounding law enforcement agencies. this is the second time in less than a year that something like this has occurred. this is around 5:00 saturday morning a. 30-year-old inmate as well. they ordered him and asserted that the inmate was hiding out at a nearby homeless shelter. this time, once again, if you see santiago gonzalez, do not approach him, just call 911 this morning. live in san francisco, back to you. >> thank you for the latest on that. this morning we learned an inmate escaped from the custody of santa clara deputies. they are looking for john l. carter. there is now a $6,000 reward for information leading to hills arrest. the family of a young mother hit by an suv in hayward says she

will now be taken off life support today. she and her 11-month-old son were in that crosswalk on the tennison road onramp. they were struck by the suv. over the weekend, doctors declared turnerrain dead and her son right now is in critical condition. the driver of the suv is cooperating with police. they are investigating a construction accident. a woman was moving her car to make way for a gravel truck when the truck overturned and fell on to her car. she died instantly. >> she was a very sweet, loving person. she really loved her daughter. she was always pristine. >> she was a mother and she was very happy. she's in a good place in her life right now. >> the driver of the tractor-trailer says he has been delivering gravel for 30 years and has never had a trailer tip over on him before.

school bus landed into a home in philadelphia. it happened at 5:00 this morning. the man went off the road and crashed into that home in montgomery county. can you imagine being inside? several kids were actually on board at the time, thankfully, no reports of injuries. it's crazy. utah's governor has restored the firing squad as an option to death row inmates. the new law allows for a firing squad if drug used for lethal injections are unbelievable. utah removed that choice in four for the firing squad. this new law makes utah the only state in the country to allow a firing squad t. state has a eight inmates right now on death row. the national transportation safety board will hold a special hearing this morning to look into a high number of pedestrians hit and killed on railroad tracks each year. the ntsb said 945 people were stuck on train tracks last year. >> that averages out to almost

county jail the. >> reporter: the inmate fled the store. >> reporter: good morning. inmates take up at the hall basement. it was before 9:00 last night. they will help deputies look for this man. so take a look at the mug shot we brought. this is 26-year-old alexander gonzalez. he is 5'6 '80s, 180 pounds, black hair, brown eyes. he was arrested last july on drug trafficking as well as possession of a firearm. they immediately notified law enforcement agencies as well as u.s. marshalls. now, this is the second time sense ten months something like

and rescue here not far from where this woman was abducted. here's another look at her picture. denise upton, 30-years-old, reportedly taken against her will roughly 24 hours ago from this home here. they are looking at these images a few blocks away from the temporary search and rescue center they set up here they say denise upton had been taken against her will and was held for ransom. this abduction taking place yesterday morning. later in the day, police find right there. you are looking at an image from her 2002 white camry. they did find that abandoned later in the day. they believe it had been stolen along the time shelves abducted yesterday morning.

64-year-old man, put his body in a barrel and dufrd it last friday t. coroner's office is expected to conduct an autopsy to determine how that man died. the family of a young mother hit in hayward last week says she was taken off life support. she and her 11-month-old son were in the crosswalk on ramp to 880 last wednesday when they were hit. over the weekend, doctors declared her brain dead. the son is in correct, al condition. the driver of the suv is corroborating with police. osha is investigating a deadly construction accident in martinez. the 33-year-old was moving her car when the gravel truck fell over on to her car killing her instantly. >> she was a very sweet, loving person. she really loved her daughter.
