it went diagonally on the shoulder. a little slowing out of the altamont eastbound. we have some construction. toward the bay bridge toll plaza, no backup. well, on the right approach, a couple of cars waiting. sharks play tonight. that's the blue icon. back to you. at 4:32, a developing story in the south bay, it's happened again. another security breach at san jose airport. this one is raising even more concerns about security there. "today in the bay's" kris sanchez live at the airport. what do we know about this woman that pulled this off? >> reporter: good morning, laura. we know she is under arrest and that she did not go down without a fight. the woman was arrested at the airport. the spokesperson confirms she climbed over the fence. in the southwest corner of the airport. and then wandered over into the airfield on to the tarmac.

a worker with ups spotted her and con fronted her while other employees called police. because of four prior security breaches here, there have been safety improvements here at the airport and the spokesperson says this trespass supervisor's arrest is proof that those improvements are working. >> if you see someone that you don't recognize. >> reporter: this is the fifth security breach in 12 months. you'll probably remember the one that made international headlines. last april, a teenager scaled the fence to climb into the wheel well of a plane bound for hawaii where he was discovered. then in august, marilyn hartman, now dubbed the serial stowaway, successfully got past security to board a flight to los angeles. three months after that, a 39-year-old man stole a truck from a parking lot and then took a joyride into the terminal b area. it was a secure area, and thus he was arrested. the most recent breach was a man

who was spotted on a surveillance camera wandering around the secured perimeter of the airport. we can tell you today the investigation tonights with the tsa. they want to know why that woman scaled the fence and ended up inside the perimeter and how and why. kris sanchez, "today in the bay." >> thank you so much, kris. authorities in france are denying reports that there's video taken from inside of that germanwings plane last week shortly before it slammed into the french alps. two european tabloids, "paris match" and "bild" are saying the cell phone was found in the wreckage and showed the final seconds before the co-pilot deliberately crashed that plane. top lufthansa executives plan to visit the crash site today. this morning, the l.a. county coroner says he believes the death of oil heir andrew

getty was accidental. he was found dead inside his hollywood hills home yesterday. the "l.a. times" is reporting he was found shirtless and in the bathroom. >> he was not feeling good for the last couple months, and he supposedly had an appointment scheduled with his personal physician. >> police say a woman called 911 to report the death and she is cooperating. andrew was the grandson of oil tycoon john paul getty, once listed as the richest man in america. andrew was also one of four sons of gordon getty. his family is asking the media and public to respect the family's privacy. on the peninsula this morning, two palo alto high schools are getting licensed therapists in order to help students deal with the rise of mental health issues. last night the school board voted unanimously to allocate $250,000 in district funds to hire full-time therapist palo alto and gunn high schools.

they took action last night. so far this school year, 16 palo alto high school students have been hospitalized for mental health reasons. 42 gunn students have been hospitalized or touretreated fo suicide prevention. a u.s. magistrate today is expected to sign off on a million-dollar settlement involving hundreds of oklahoma protesters who claim police mistreatment. the case goes back to january 2012, when protesters say they were corralled by police outside a ymca, unfairly arrested and then held in custody for hours. the city of oakland and alameda county have already agreed to a $1.36 million class action settlement for over 350 people. today the u.s. magistrate is holding a final approval hearing. the ground work is reportedly set. all oakland leaders need is a game plan from the raiders. the oakland tribune reporting that city council members approved key measures for their proposal. it paves the way for the raiders

or any other team to begin working toward a new coliseum complex. the council certified an environmental report and proper zoning allowances. the raiders have not yet presented their development plan. >> it is 4:37. oakland a's pitcher sean doolittle and his girlfriend erin dolan are stepping in for what she describes as a negative response to the lgbt pride night. he is offering to buy tickets. she says several season ticketholders were trying to sell their tickets because they were uncomfortable with the event. some were even posting homophobic remarks online. for her, the mission is personal. >> when i saw these negative comments, i thought i hope these people who are going are not as nervous as she was, but they would be accepted for who they are. >> dolan is not only buying unwanted tickets, she's raising money and donating money to buy ticks to the pride night game. those seats will go to lgbt

youth living in shelters. so far, her go fund me page has raised more than $11,000. starting today, sales tax rates are going to rise to double digits in some cities across the bay area. shoppers in hayward, union city, san leandro, el cerito. more cities could follow as well. the measure would raise the limit on local sales taxes to 3% above the statewide rate, which is currently 7.5%. several other bay area cities will also see hikes starting today. this is tough but true. state officials say they're not optimistic as california does its final snow survey in the sierra later today. as the drought continues, the snow pack has been in decline for months. the last measurement on december 30th found the statewide snow water equivalent at 50% of historical average. subsequent statewide readings have been even lower.

snow supplies, about a third of the state's water. >> we'll take all the rain that we can get later this week, but christina, that snow pack situation is pretty dire. good morning. >> good morning to you. and you know what? i can brighten your day by telling you that we actually have more snow and rain on the way, which means some of those resorts that are still open, squaw valley, alpine meadows will be able to stay open for your easter weekend. temperatures are chilly to start the day. 51 degrees in the south bay. 46 degrees in the north bay. want to get you out the front door on a good note. it's going to be nice out there today. a little bit of a change in the works. mid 60s. by lunchtime, we'll update in the upper 60s. beautiful conditions for today. in wine country, right around 70 degrees. 66 degrees meanwhile on the peninsula. more good news for you, that wind is going to relax significantly as you get into the afternoon. temperatures won't be too bad, but tomorrow, a good five to ten-degree jump, so a noticeable difference as we head throughout the end of the week.

expected to attend a lunch later today, and tomorrow he'll be in san francisco for a luncheon at the mandarin oriental hotel. the chronicle reports that bush also has a series of private meet and greets set up so he can raise money for a super pac. bush could see some protesters as well during his visit. he's defending indiana's religious freedom act, which critics say will allow indiana businesses to discriminate against gays and lesbians that. is in stark contrast with sentiments of butch of the bay area. last night, oakland was the latest to announce it would not send any city employees to indiana as long as that law remains in effect. san francisco already made that decision while major companies like apple, yelp, and sales force have publicly denounced the law. the governor of indiana is ordering the state legislature now to make some clarifications to the law this week. but that's not stopping the fallout. university of connecticut men's basketball head coach has promised to skip the final four in indianapolis and abide by a

travel band . the athletic director will not go to indianapolis to attend a meeting because of his opposition to the law. arkansas's religious freedom restoration act passed in the state senate and is headed to the governor's desk. he has previously said he will sign that into law, but he's facing newfound pressure this morning. late last nighting one of the state's largest employers, wal-mart, released a statement on twitter saying in part, "hb1228 threatens to undermine the spirit of inclusion throughout the state of arkansas and does not reflect the values that we proudly uphold. for these reasons, we are asking governor hutchinson to veto this legislation." arkansas's governor is expected to hold a news conference later this morning. the company known for its humorous and sometimes racy super bowl commercials is now

hitting wall street. landon doughty live at cnbc world headquarters this morning with the details. good morning, landon. >> hey there, good morning to you, too. go daddy is going public. the company prices its ipo above the expected range, giving it a market value of about $4.5 billion. the web domain well-known for its risque ads, has more than 13 million customers. it will start trading today on the new york stock exchange. and the markets will try to avoid starting april on a down note. stocks fell sharply on tuesday, with the dow ending the first quarter in the red. the nasdaq, however, turning in its ninth straight positive quarter. the first time it's ever done that. analysts say some of the selloff may have come from expectations that companies that report disappointing earnings over the next few weeks. the dow falling 200 points. the nasdaq down to 4900. radio shack gets a new lease on life. a bankruptcy judge has approved

temperatures are going to stay nice and mild for today. abundant sunshine. just a few high clouds. for us, that means you want to keep your jacket by your side just about all day long. we'll round out the day in the upper 60s, about 67 degrees is the forecasted high for today. 67 degrees. we're going to see very comfortable conditions but really right about average. and then everything changes as we get into your easter weekend, so i do want to point out that now showers look like they're going to come in a little bit earlier. temperatures will climb. a comfortable finish by friday. saturday into sunday, the first weekend of april looking at some showers and especially at the immediate coast and up in the north bay. sunday, noon, you can see widespread activity. i think you'll be okay for your easter egg hunts until about 9:00 a.m., and then you want to bring those indoors and that can get dangerous if you forget

thousand-acre site and repurpose the landmark hangar 1. google is going to use all three of moffitt's hangars to help develop its robotic technology. california's historic drought impacting more than just fire season. it's impacting some local bars. they're calling it a drought discount. two france bars called wish and bond will give you a dollar off if you order a drink without ice. doesn't matter if it's hard liquor, wine, or beer. if it's a libation lacking ice, it's less. the owner says she knows it's a drop in the bucket to a massive problem, but hopes the conversations that follow flood the city. >> if you can get a lot of people to do just a little bit, then maybe it will do something. >> the owner says many cocktails call for a full cup of ice and that can really add up. the offer will go through next
