6:08 am
you see the bulk of the cold front starting to push east of the bay area. this is the actual core i'm talking about. this is going to come through later on today. we will be watching for some thunderstorms for you. what i love about this storm is that it's maintaining its organization and it has not yet reached south lake tahoe. by the time it does reach the sierra nevada, i think it will stay organized enough to potentially produce that 1 to 2 feet of snow we have been anticipating and we really need. that is the good news. we'll be keeping tabs on that for you this morning. want to zoom in and show you where the heaviest rainfall is located right now. you can see the storm is finally starting to push into the south bay and areas to the east. otherwise we're getting a little bit of a break at the coast up to the north bay where we have accumulated up to 1 1/2 of rain thus far and more on the way. wind will stay rather strong as we head throughout the day today. we're in the double digits just about everywhere.
