scene. we're going to bring you an update. a suspected peeping tom is under arrest accused of recording people in a bathroom at a local starbucks. "today in the bay" is live in walnut creek. police say he did this more than once? >> reporter: that's right. police say they want to talk to customers who may have been at this starbucks in walnut creek, who may have used the rest room during their visits. police say they may have been secretly recorded. the two dates in question are this past week, this past tuesday, april 14th, between 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon. and february 16th, also in the afternoon, between 2:30 and 4:00. both at the same downtown location at 1152 locust street address. investigators is a i on those two dates starbucks employees found the video hidden in the unisex bathroom. it taped several customers using

the rest room without their knowledge. police want to talk to anyone who might have been their during those times i mentioned because they could be possible victims. police did arrest this man yesterday, 34 years jacob turner of benecia. he's been charged with multiple counts of placing a video recorder in a rest room. now, police are likely looking for victims to come forward to build a strong case against this man. live at walnut creek for "today in the bay." >> thanks. east bay nanny is facing charges he molested a child entrusted to his care and now police believe there could be more victims as well. 51-year-old joaquin sierra-cruz allegedly molested a 6-year-old girl in his care in 20,0008. the allegations only came to light recently. they were both licensed nannies employed through an east bay agency. three men are in the hospital this morning recovering from stab wounds after a bar fight. police say the fight broke out

about 8:30 last night at shiloh's near 880. three men were stabbed. the suspects got away before police arrived. the victims are all in stable condition. deputies busted a second major marijuana operation in benecia. the sheriff's office and fbi seized plants worth more than $14 million from a warehouse yesterday. in january authorities busted another grow operation in a warehouse less than a mile away. deputies arrested 34-year-old hayward man in this latest raid. he is set to be in court on monday. 5:03. and google is changing its search criteria to favor mobile friendly websites. the new algorithm will roll out on tuesday. it affects search results on smart phones and tablets moving mobile friendly websites to the top of the list. experts say it could drastically affect some business whoes get traffic based on traditional websites. laptops and desktops will not be

arena which will be loud in more than 30 hour, bob. >> reporter: yeah, tipoff tomorrow at 12:30 right there at the center court here in oracle arena as they take on the pelicans. this is the warriors third consecutive playoffs. if you think about it, the last time they've been in the playoffs three times in a row was back in 1977. a lot of the another tension of course on their superstar steph curry who scored an astounding 286 three-pointers during the regular season. that of course puts him in the running. he's a favorite for the mvp. if you look at their vukryes over the season of wins the team had 67 wins. that's a franchise record. it's the only tenth team in the nba history to pull off a feat head coach steve kerr not only credits seth curry but the rest of the team and the atmosphere these guys have created.

the bay area. yet again. it's a nice comfortable morning out there. temperatures are on the cool side. you want to layer up for today. something that you can peel off by lunchtime, summertime, temperatures in the forecast for this afternoon. at lunch as you step outdoors, breaking for that final workday. temperatures will be nice and comfortable in the low 70s. we're going to max out in the mid to upper 80s for today in many spots across the bay area. 86 in the south bay. 87 degrees could be breaking more records out there in the tri-valley as we get into this afternoon. then everything changes for the weekend. there's a lot going on here in the bay area this weekend. tomorrow morning it's the golden fire hydrant painting. this is something that we do annually. as celebration of the hydrant that saved the mission district from the 1906 earthquake fires. temperatures will be chilly out there because this is occurring on the weekend. expect more traffic out there. a lot of people will be headed out at 5:00 a.m. for this

celebration. 54 degrees. it's going to be on the chilly side. there is a lot going on this weekend. we also have earth day. a lot of free events. eco friendly events for you and the family. we'll talk about that as we head throughout the next half hour. my next report i'll have a couple of those events to spread out throughout the morning. you know what, mike, this is going to draw a lot of traffic. what are we watching right now in terms of traffic? >> we're going to watch that corner for traffic about 5:30 in the morning. interesting, use the aerosol cans to paint that but then a lot of earth day celebrations later on approximately we'll see how that settle that. the maze, we have folks meeting over there as you approach the transition from the east shore freeway to southbound 880. they were. but it cleared in about five minutes. that's how light and how early it is in the commute. on a frai as we look at your map we have the big backup and the sensors are adjusting starting to clear out. you saw the live shot with no delays at the maze or off the berkeley curve there. the crash has cleared and an easy drive now because of that light volume around the bay. we had a little slowing shows up

earth day ecofest is going to have looks like barn yard animals out there. they're going to have bean bags toes. a lot of vendors. shoreline cleanup. this is 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. this is a cool event. earth day on the bay at the marine science institute between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. they're going to have an eco film festival. and shark feeding out there as well. so there's a lot that you can do to find out about how we keep this beautiful bay area nice and clean. i mean, this is one of the most pristine areas in the entire country. and a lot of it has to do with you, the locals. this is a great way to find out more how you can help keep the bay area pride and keep it clean. 82 degrees for your saturday. in the south bay, 81 degrees by sunday. and then those changes move in. we are tracking showers. we'll talk more about that coming up in my next report. right now he is a local through and through, born and raised here. >> born and rised. that's right. bay area local.

love it, folks. when i say the bay area i assume people know we're talking about the san francisco bay area. i forget there are other bays around. crossing the bay. trucks clear from the high rise but i want to show you behind me the bright lighting. forcing folks over to the left lane as you travel over the bridge. we do still have crews out there. they're clearing from here as well as from the flat section on the other side. the high rise itself is clear. out to the maps, no real slowing and no wind advisories. things are much calmer. as christina said, changes continue. cooler over the next few days. smooth drive. more congested but so far there's just some slowing for northbound 92 through the san mateo hills. looks like overnight cruise might still be there and that's what's causing that. over in the east free, tri-valley approach. the crash is completely out of lanes west 580 at 680. that causes the slowing for the sensors. nothing dramatic and no problem at the maze, after the earlier

crash was cleared from the berkeley curve. drive from the north bay, upper east shore freeway. bay bridge toll way. we're going to end with this shot. no drama, no problems, no slowing for the south bay either. back to you. >> thank you. there's a lot of hype right now over electric cars like the nissan leaf and the tesla model s. many people say battery power is not the way of the future. instead some automakers are turning more attention to hydrogen fuel cell cars instead. one perk here of those cars, shorter charging time. hydrogen cars can charge in as little as ten minutes compared to hours of charging time for electric cars. the range has also better. up to 265 miles for the hyundai tucson, for example. the only thing the hydrogen car looks right now is a network of charging stations. >> 265 miles. >> 265 miles. >> one refill. >> refill stations then are critical. >> yes. that's why they're not here yet. we don't have the

boy, are customers in for a surprise, especially if they use that unisex bathroom back there. that's the bathroom in question at the back of the store. that's where police say a video camera was found hidden. investigators arrested this man yesterday. 34-year-old james turner of benec benecia. he's been charged with multiple kouchts of placing a video recorder in a rest room. the two dates in question are this past tuesday april 14th between 2:00 and 3:00 in the afternoon and february 16th, also in the afternoon, between 2:30 and 4:00. both at the same downtown location at the 1152 locust street address by chipotle and panera bread. police are asking for people who may have been there using the rest rooms during the dates and times to come forward. >> us, starbucks, chipotle, we all take care of each other. for this to happen, it's kind of a shock to all of us. like we don't -- it's strange.

292 million visits to national parks like the grand canyon, yellowstone, for skyline drive in virginia. somehow crumbling rock wall, cracked bathroom sinks, paved walkways covered in moss. the parks service estimates it will need $11.5 billion to fix maintenance projects that have been neglected for years. >> and then you actually have to spend a lot more money repairing them instead of just maintaining them. >> reporter: but congress may not foot the entire bill. most national parks and monuments are free. one in four charge fees, but that doesn't cover all if repair congress is looking at a new idea, centennial challenge. the government matching donations from individuals, businesses, and foundations. >> this would be a very classy way of being able to leverage private dollars along with public dollars. >> reporter: and there's no time

the air. flight 448. can you please tell somebody to stop it? >> that bizarre incident unfolded on monday in seattle after a worker loading bags on to an alaskan airlines flight took a nap in the belly of plane. the next thing he knew the plane was taking off. dispatchers were confused by his call. >> where are you in the plane at? >> i'm inside the plane. alaska airlines plain flight 448. >> are you at the airport? >> in the plane passengers could hear banging and screaming coming from underneath the cabin. the pilot eventually made an emergency landing. the baggage handler spent 14 minutes up in the air. he wasn't hurt since the cargo hold is also pressurized. but he is now banned from working on any alaska airlines flight. flight rage on a southwest airlines flight. a woman on a flight from chicago to new hampshire was kicked off after she tried to deal with a snoring seat mate. the man fell asleep before the plane took off and he started snoring.

dusseldorf. the copilot intentionally crashed the plane. today's memorial will be held in germany's cologne cathedral. chancellor angela merkel will attend to service along with officials from france and spain. a judge today is going to reconsider a deal to settle a class action head injury lawsuit filed against the ncaa. that same judge rejected a settlement last december saying it needed to be refined. the fine print is the same. create 70 million fund to monitor head injuries. some adjustments this time around include more athletes koved by the fund. kris at this timics say the settlement does not include any compensation for the athleting who suffer head injuries. as of this morning adrian peterson is back in the nfl. league suspended him of he pleaded guilty of hitting his son with a switch. wooden stick. while the nfl expecting peterson to fulfill his obligations with the minnesota vikings peterson's agent is hoping his gets a fresh start with a new team.
