week. it's a feel good friday. temperatures are a little on the chilly side to start. by lunchtime you're peeling off your first layer and then to round out the day, oh, it's going to be a little bit hot, especially inland. go ahead and close the blinds in your home if you don't want to use your ac. i know i don't like to have to use my ac. not just yet. hey, that's what my trick is. then once we hit 7:00 p.m., those temperatures start to drop rapidly and, yeah, open up the windows in your home. let mother nature cool you off. we are expecting records all across the board for today. in napa, livermore, mountain view likely to hit a new record. concord and hayward as well as temperatures are going to be exceptionally warm for this time of year. high pressure is the reason why. here's the thing. we have the coastal fog returning and that will be the story for tomorrow as well. that means we will see a little bit of a cooldown. right at the immediate coast. but just limited to about san francisco, not even hitting the inner bay here on the oakland side. keep that in mind.

temperatures will be pretty warm for today. they're going to stay warm as we head throughout tomorrow but will start to ease the numbers as we head through sunday and monday and bring in that chance for some shower activity. so i stop that clock for you. 10:00 p.m. monday, that's when it all begins. we are expecting some significant rainfall totals out of what could be two to three systems, just depends on how long the jet stream stays dipped to the south. for us these are gooding looking totals for a late april storm. just under half an inch in san jose. could pick up an inch of rainfall up in the north bay. so that's the good news. when we meet back here on monday, a whole new weather pattern to track and it does look like the system will stay organized. we're going to keep you updated. i'll let you know if anything changes. i'm always updating you on facebook and twitter. he is as well, here's mike inouye and your morning drive. >> you have your weather watchers and i have my traffic watcher. thank you for the update high five. we have a smooth flow of traffic

6:50 am
that's what we have for west 880. that's because of a lighter volume and getting out of town. that will get crowded probably about 2:00, 2:30 heading over the live more and altamont pass. over toward the sierra. usually 580 tends to see that pattern on a friday. we'll show you the rest of your bay which is no real concern. we do have the build north 101. we have patches up past the airport. the only issue is getting on to southbound 101. the expressway may have that on-ramp closed for a couple of seconds as they clear debris from the roadway. metal debris reported. not a concern right now on our map and debris 280 at 7th is cleared out of the area. it is 6:50. an east bay nanny is facing charges he molested a child entrusted in his care and now police believe there could be more victims. 51-year-old joaquin sierra-cruz allegedly molested a 6-year-old girl in his care in 2008. the allegations om recently came

6:56 am
some are suggesting he's hitting his peak as far as that shooting percentage goes as they're getting into the playoffs. again, the third consecutive playoffs for the golden state warriors. i want to show you how easy the three-pointers are. not to take anything away from steph curry. it's only 23 feet 9 inches away from the hoop. take this ball and you see that orange thing? get it through that orange circle. and you just usually got to take a practice shot so you can get your range and target. it's usually the second one and then the third one you just kind of -- that's when you nail it. then you realize, oh, wait, here we go. >> swoosh? >> so close. >> second chance. >> okay. >> are we on right now? are we live? >> you were just warming up. >> all right, guys. hey, if you guys are trying to get tickets to tomorrow afternoon's game they are expecting it to be sold out. they will -- you got a few
