now pictures of the clashes and 15 officers were injured by flying debris and one was hit in the head and two in the hospital. 500 extra officers have been requested and up to 5,000 from nearby states. . one of the big concerns is fires. one was at a local cvs. police say that the fire was a result of the unrest. the second one was not been directly link today the riots but they were called to a blaze in an elderly construction. earlier the family of freddie gray called for peace. >> i want y'all to give justice for my son, but don't do it like this here. don't tear up the whole city. just for him, that's wrong. >> we want to go back to the event that sparked this.

the city of baltimore is on edge this morning, following widespread rioting. the national guard has been called. >> reporter: violence shook the streets of baltimore, businesses looted, cars set ablaze. and multiple fires throughout the city and the flames after the funeral of freddy gray. >> freddy gray was just the straw that broke the back. everybody is angry.
