navigate the prison's pipes and tunnels? since all of the prison's tools have been accounted for, officials are speculating about contractors' tools. in dannemora, a village of about 4,000 people, residents are on-guard. what was your reaction when you heard the news? >> oh, my god. is this a drill or is this for real? it's very scary. this is my backyard. >> i had my doors locked for the first time in 30 years. >> reporter: a community on-edge, as a manhunt goes on. >> that was nbc's john yang reporting. in new jersey, a wild scene at a hip-hop concert at metlife stadium. troopers in riot gear, getting bottles tossed at them. tensions erupted after the gates were closed. people, some with tickets, some without, were allegedly forcing their way in. in the parking lot, chaos. police on the move, breaking up the crowds. at one point, a riot vehicle was brought in. police aren't saying how many arrests were made. an officer out of mckinney,

texas, is on administrative leave, after being caught on camera aggressively confronting teenagers at a pool party. last night, mckinney police chief greg conley says investigators have seen the video. >> our initial reaction was to place the officers on administrator leave so we can conduct a complete and thorough investigation. >> the mayor of mckinney released a statement saying, quote, having seen the youtube video i am disturbed and concerned by the incident and actions depicted in the video. some residents are also reportedly planning a protest. nbc's richard louie has more. >> reporter: this is what happened after police say they were responding to a disturbance and reports of teens fighting near a pool party posted on twitter. a mckinney, texas, police officer, unholsteres his gone. this video was viewed a rate of 300,000 an hour on sunday. this led to a post on the

website. the video, getting the attention appears to be midstream. and a longer time span. we don't know what happened before the recording began. but it starts with the officer in question, appearing to trip while in pursuit. >> get on the ground. >> hold up, sir. >> i told you to stay. get your [ expletive ] on the ground. >> reporter: he scolds some teenagers. >> don't make me run around with [ bleep ] gear on in the sun. >> reporter: and tells a group of girls to leave. notice the one in the orange bathing suit. and the man in the beige shirt. the officer pulls the girl to the ground. pushes her head into the ground, dragging her. putting both his knees on her back. after onlookers scream, he unholsteres his gone. two other rush over. one puts his hand on what appears to be the ranking

officer's shoulder. moments later, one of the young people who ran, is led back. possible discoloration around his mouth. as it comes, officer explains what went wrong. >> what everybody else did was illegal. you did it and you got caught. >> reporter: the seven-minute controversial video ends after that. but not on social media. posts from both sides. none of this would happen if they had complied with the officers' demands. and this, the scary part about police brutality is you can't call 911 for help. it is day two of the g-7 summit where president obama and the nations of six other nations are meeting to tackle some of the world's biggest problems. nbc senior white house correspondent chris januarying is live for us in austria right now. what can we expect of the summit? >> reporter: there's going to be a big meeting between president

obama and prime minister haider al apaddy of iraq. abadi's going to come hat in hand. he wants more help. the white house has told us don't expect new offers. david cameron said 125 additional trainers will be heading to iraq to help their forces. it is the first time they have come face to face since defense secretary carter fought the will to fight. a couple other big topics to look for. what to do in the iranian negotiations. the president pushing hard for that. there's a hard deadline coming up at the end of the month. what is going on in the u.s. congress in terms of the trade deal and finally, climate

this morning on "today," "jurassic world" star chris pratt on his summer movie. and his continued rise to the top of the hollywood a-list. in sports, game two of the nba finals. cavs without their star guard, kyrie irving. klay thompson for the warriors came out on fire and finished with 34 points. but steph curry, not so much. he shot 5 of 23 from the field, just 2 for 15 from three. game went into overtime. but the cavs pull it out, 95-93, to tie the series at 1-1 games. lebron james finished with 39 points, 16 boards and 11 assists. to dublin, ohio, for the memorial. tiger woods shot a career-worst 85 on saturday. and sunday was not much better. woods finished 2 over par and posted the highest 72-hole score of his career, a 302.

leading the news from the associated press, abortions declining in nearly all states. according to the a.p., abortion rates are down in 2010, in red and blue states. and from al-jazeera, protesters burn ballots in midterm elections. they're angry with the government. it has been tied to corruption. a bad economy and human rights concerns led to the disappearance of 43 students last september. there was also an exchange of rocks throwing between protesters and hundreds of people who said they were defending their rights to vote. two ohio teenagers were arrested in west virginia on saturday, suspected of a crime spree spanning three states. a police officer was dragged and injured by a vehicle during the chase.

in austin, texas, police are looking into a youtube video of a confrontation between a crowd and police. the video shows police arresting an individual. then, more officers arrive on horseback to control the crowd of onlookers. one mounted policeman grabs a man's phone and throws it to the ground. police officials are investigating. in tokyo, a woman is trying to row 6,000 miles across the she hopes to arrive in san francisco by late september and be the first woman to row solo across the pacific. >> you think it's possible? the currents and everything else? i'm not sure i would want to cross the ocean on a cruise ship. cute animal news. a pygmy hippopotamus gave birth. the baby and mother are doing
