suspicious death investigation underway in wine country. someone found a body inside of a sonoma home late last night. it's about a half mile from the intersection of broadway and napa road. sonoma county sheriff's deputies aren't telling us much including how that person died. they to hope to release new details later today. a deal a long time coming, the city council will san jose will vote on a new contract for their fair fighters. >> if had this gets passed that proposal would warm the killy relationship between the city and its fire department. the union says 95% of firefighters voted in favor of a new labor contract. that agreement calls for a raise of nearly 15% spread out over four years. it also includes lump sum payments that amount to an added 3%. the union points out that firefighters have not received a raise since 2008. we are now just days away from the 4th of july, santa

clara supervisors starting to crack down on illegal fireworks. a new law could give them power to tine tenants or the landowners. changes are coming to downtown san mateo beginning july 1st if you work there or go there for an err regard or dinner you can expect new pricing and time limits for parking. color coded parking areas, the spots in the downtown core will be orange, the spots along the perimeter will be green. if you pay in the orange area you will pay more but be closer to everything. there is a three-hour time liemt there. the green area, you will walk more, pay less and have options to stick around a little longer. a woman almost hit by an incoming bart train, this after she fell on to the tracks in san francisco. this happened at the powell street station just before 10:00 last night. police say that she lost consciousness and fell.

luckily that incoming bart train was able to stop just in time before hitting her. that woman was eventually sent to the hospital. the composter best known for the titanic is feared dead in a plane crash. we know that the pilot died, but he has not been officially identified. still a facebook post from horner's personal assistant claims horner was indeed flying the plane when it crashed. he won two oscars for his work on titanic and also composed the music in the photographs field of dreams and brave heart. that search still going on for two escaped inmates in new york but now it is heating up. new evidence from a hunting cabin is giving police a fresh lead. they are searching for the convicted murderers 20 miles west of the prison. all of this information coming after they found their dna if a

this was the scene in front of uber's san francisco headquarters yesterday. these folks are taxi drivers who were protesting as mayors attending the mayors conference stopped by to tour uber's offices. cabbies say ride sharing companies steal their business and also don't have to play by the same rules. they want uber drivers to follow the same insurance and background check requirements that they do. firefighters right though bracing for more tough conditions today as they try to get a wild under control. this one near lake tahoe, happening 30 miles south of the lake near the town of markleeville. the fire has scorched nearly 15,000 acres and is only 10% contained. high winds have made firefighting difficult and there's more wind in the forecast today. lightning sparked that fire on friday night. meteorologist kari hall says that it is going to be warm sh and sometimes that means greater fire danger. >> as we check out what's happening there, near lake tahoe, the wind gusts right now

at about 10 to 20 miles an hour, temperature now at 59 degrees and the humidity only at 35%. we can tell just by looking at the radar that there is some smoke there, we can detect that as we see a lot of that -- those little green spots popping up there, that shows the smoke being picked up on the radar and conditions will get worse over the next couple of days. we do have this mild start to the week and we have just enough on-shore flow to keep us nice and comfortable, but high pressure continues to build and temperatures will soar as we could have the highs hitting triple digits for parts of the central valley and that includes the lake tahoe area as well. i'll talk more about what to expect toward the end of the week and our forecast coming up in just a few minutes. the south bay, easy drive from this live shot. i will show you a bigger view. you see the south bay at the bottom, the south side of the map and the rest of the bay moving very nicely as you would

is being remembered as much for his smile as his skills playing baseball. police in texas say that the mother of hamilton's 14 month old son shot and killed him on sunday, she then turned the gun on herself. officers found that child unhurt inside of the couple's home. hamilton played two of his 13 seasons with the giants and following his retirement he worked for mlb. in a statement the giants say, quote, darrell was an important part of the giants during his playing time from 1997 to 1998 and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and it to his friends. new details this morning on the arrest of hip hop mogul p. diddy and sean colmes, it this morning he is facing three assault charges with daddily weapon. police say diddy confronted his son's football coach at ucla with a kettle ball yesterday afternoon. his son plays football for the college. this is also facing charges of terrorist threats and battery. he posted bail last night, he is a freeman. will science be on tom
