eyewitnesss say a reported explosion knocked her a reported six feet into the air. kristin is there today, what happened? >> let me first say that the beach just reopened and there is a line of people waiting to get in. imagine you're on the beach here right back there, enjoying the day and boom you're thrown into the rocks, sent to the hospital. the victim is thought to be okay. but what did happen here is still a mystery. >> it seemed like a typical sunny saturday morning at the beach. >> i heard a boom. the ground shook, i thought it was a earthquake. >> a woman literally lifted up off of her chair and thrown forward. police and emergency responders were called to the beach just before noon. >> engine 1 rescue 3 respond now to salty brine sea beach far

suspect pinned on the rocked. >> the injured woman was taken to the hospital. >> the female say has been removed, no other victims at this time. >> eyewitnesss telling an incredible story. >> it was like a tremor. >> it threw her in the air about five feet and she came down on her face and she didn't move. >> a sudden single blast sent the victim flying back wards into the rocks. >> a small explosion, sub surface that erupted out of the sand. >> investigators dug up the spot and started tediously sifting through the sand and inspecting the area. >> there is fractors in the wet sand. >> late last night, the rhode island department of emergency management said they plan to reopen the beach today. they don't know what happened

back inner vine, game wardens started a neighborhood coyote watch. in an area where families fear coyotes more than coyotes fear them. >> it's a warning that something else is going to happen if we don't get control. >> so far they have rounded up eight of these coyotes. they actually did dna testing and matched some of those results from one of the coyotes in one of the victims. they're waiting for the other results to come back in. >> thank you. let's get a final check of the weather from dylan. not bad here now. >> yeah. right where we're standing not bad. we're going to see some stronger storms today especially in the area through southern plnminnesota. you see that's a moderate risk of strong storms later on this afternoon and evening. the big threat for lines and storms developing that could produce damaging wind gusts. isolated tornados are possible too. tomorrow it shifts a little farther to the south and east. moves to illinois and indiana that's the area where tomorrow we could see the strong storms.
