start out with low 60s in the tri-valley right now and then as you head to the north bay a nice cool 53 degrees and then 55 degrees now in santa cruz. the winds are coming out of a more northerly direction and it starts out as" then gets a little bit more breezy today, but not a nice on-shore flow like we expect and that will help bring those temperatures back down. so today's high in san jose reaching 94 degrees, in pacifica 75 degrees and then in san francisco we will even see mid 80s there today. in the north bay 97 degrees, in napa as well as novato, swaul nut creek 103 and livermore reaching 102 degrees. sizzling temperatures in some spots. you want to be careful, try to stay cool and also make sure you take care of those pets as you head out today. i think things are looking nice and hot here, but not so much on

for the weekend. looking at the forecast, pretty calm and even as we go into the day here is lunchtime, winds coming in from the north at about 10 miles an hour and picking up to about 10 to 15 today but not really a strong on-shore flow. so as we go hour by hour in san francisco it starts out at 59 degrees at 7:00 and by 1:00 we are at 80 degrees, so it jumps up fairly quickly, and it even gets into the mid '80s, especially on the embarcadero and the eastern parts of the city and then dropping back into the lower 70s. not much fog on the bay, but the eastern parts -- or rather the western parts of the city still has a little bit of fog. let's say around ocean beach, you are still seeing the low clouds and fog today and that keeps those temperatures down, but elsewhere not a lot of clouds or fog and the temperatures rise fairly quickly. in the south bay the next three days we will have temperatures topping out in the triple digits
