was in effect when this tent collapsed. initial reports indicated that more than 100 people were trapped under the tent. the injured were taken to local hospitals. police have not released the names of the two people who died. it comes a day after another tent collapsed at a festival near chicago. one man was killed, and 15y injured. right now, fires are burning from one end of california to the other. more than 13,000 people have been ordered to leave their homes because of wild fires. authorities calling the blaze unprecedented. and the rocky wild fire has already burned through more than 62,000 acres. fire crews say winds are blowing from one direction one moment and another way the next. >> it's very much a challenge for firefighters to try to predict when you have such erratic winds, winds that are changing throughout the day. and there's always going to be something that we're concerned with. >> across california, 9,000 firefighters are battling 20

large wildfires. several florida neighborhoods are under water. and in some neighborhoods, residents are dealing with three to four feet with water. and first responders have been helping people to get dryer ground. there have been mandatory evacuations, including this palm ha harbor rv park, where authorities rescue ed families with military-style vehicles. >> there's no way for the earth to absorb this, so it stays on the streets. can we fix it? no. no money in the world could fix this problem. forecasters saying the low pressure system should move out of the area today. the brand new nbc wall street journal polls are out. they reveal surprising details. and let's begin with hillary clinton. 37% view her positively. down seven points since june. and now 48% have a negative view. and back in 1992, her husband, bill faced the same.

he was seeking his first term and had just a 32% positive versus a 43% negative rating. and mrs. clinton is by far the leading democrat in the field right now, leading by more than 30 points. and on the republican side, jeb bush, 26% positive and front runner, donald trump, also has a 26% positive rating bought 56% negative rating. and while trump says hispanics love him, and the new poll shows 75% of hispanics have a negative view and that includes some who answered very negative. mr. trump skipped last night's gop forum in new hampshire. and nbc tracie potts joins me live from washington. plenty of candidates, waking up hoping to be in the top ten. >> hoping they'll get a little bump in the polls.
