leave. this is not causing slowing past the coliseum. the map will see you the same thing. northbound 680 towards the benicia bridge, no slowing countercommute. new this morning high-speed chase through the streets of san francisco overnight. starting in lower pack heights, started with reports of burglary on sacramento street when undercover officers spotted the suspect's car. suddenly police say the suspects ran the undercover officer's car and then took off. that chase raced through streets of san francisco before ultim e ultimately ending on clara street between 4th and 5th. suspects are in custody and have not been identified. robbery dell headed to the scene now. he's going to have an update for us. north bay man pulls out his camera and an officer pulls a gun on him. now people are asking, did the officer cross the line? >> "today in the bay's" stephanie chuang live in our san francisco newsroom with more

on viral video. >> that's right. the rohnert park man posted this a week ago today. viewed more than 715,000 times. you can hear him narrate saying he's hooking up his boat in front of his house when a police officer circles the cul-de-sac, parks for a few minutes, snaps a photo and this is what he records next -- >> take your hand out of your pocket. >> i haven't done nothing. i've done absolutely nothing, no. >> seriously. put your gun down, really? >> you see don mccomas take one hand out of the pocket to pull cell phone and keys out of the vehicle. the officer was in neighborhood about complaints of parking. it's unclear why he felt it necessary to pull out a gun and he snapped a picture of mccomas before getting out the suv. the city of rohnert park is conducting an internal review of what happened. >> we're going to look into the incident and do a review of it, see if it matched protocols and

look at our protocols to make sure we're doing everything possible to keep our officers and community safe. >> in the video, the officer can be heard saying mccomas should have listened to him in taking his hand out of his pocket and mccomas didn't want to talk on camera but hired an attorney and also said he was thankful his family, including 5-year-old daughter, were not home at the time. viral video going around. coming up in half hour, hear from a former police officer on what she thinks about the incident. stephanie chuang, "today in the bay." >> thank you. developing story, corruption at city hall. the attorney for well-known chinatown gangster raymond shrimp boy chow says there is evidence of dirty politics. while the fbi investigating his client and former state senator leyland lee, undercovering as recorded conversations that proved some current san francisco politicians are guilty of misconduct.

he says that wiretaps revealed mayor ed lee took bribes. claim the mayor responds as absolutely not true. briggs says the fbi should be going after lee. he outlined alleged corruption in a motion he filed yesterday. >> people here were culpable and they didn't get indicted. >> a legal long shot because in sh rich boy is not saying he's innocent but he should be dismissed because he's the only one being prosecuted. >> while former prosecutor steven clark says it's a long shot, it does put federal investigators on the spot. a rough couple of weeks for the city of hayward, as the community deals with recent violence streak. residents mourning the random killing of a popular teenager. last night family, friends and former classmates gathered to honor the life of the 17-year-old, just graduated where he was a wrestler and played football.

california. but one won't be coming home. investigators say that david rule died of carbon monoxide poisoning and smoke inhalation battling the frog fire. the 38-year-old volunteer firefighter vanished thursday during the initial attack. his body found on the fire line the next day. rule was from south dakota. he was a father of two here to try to help out with efforts in california. thousands of firefighters on the front lines there trying to battle the ferocious rocky fire it sparked last week. it's growing by the day. thousand of acres charred. crews are starting to gain some ground. however, nearly 7,000 structures still in the fire's path. "today in the bay's" kris sanchez on top of what's happening and has the latest developments. >> good morning. firefighters saw the best progress yet on the fire line thanks to a break in the weather. but now the rocky fire is 20% contained but still growing. it is still growing at what fire

officials call an explosive rat moving closer to clearlake. instead of summer have a kargss, there are evacuees and emergency personnel. 13,000 ordered to get out and stay out of their homes. because of the two main evacuation centers set up at local schools, the first day of school pushed back to august 18th. one woman we talked with in a tent outside a local moose lodge. >> we could see the flames cresting up over the hill, coming into the back of the valley and that's when we decided we need to go. >> how we have talked about the fire creating its own weather. here's what something called a firenado. it can suck in debris, shoot out embers for miles and that erratic fire behavior is why it has spread in so many directions, as you can see, on the map. the fire's 67,000 acres, an area hard for crews to access. because they have not been able

to access burn areas they don't know if any of the other 7,000 structures are burned or whether they are safe. firefighters don't expect a break in the weather to last. fire conditions expected to heat up. already, cal fire says conditions should not be this extreme until september or october. >> just a tough time on that one, thank you. >> that red swath getting larger and larger. we have posted a slide show of the firefight on the website. you can see challenges crews are facing now. also of course cris' details. keeping a close eye on the weather conditions as well. hopefully that will help them out. >> if this is what's happening when it's moderate, terrified to think about when they escalate. >> winds haven't been that strong, but this afternoon gusts pick up to 20 miles an hour. during the morning is when they can mainly get a little bit of headway on this because the
