through the day temperatures warm into the 70s for the beaches, 80s for inland valley. again, that rip current risk does exist through the rest of the weekend for local beaches. tomorrow another warm day, temperatures closer to 90. you'll notice as we step outside cool in the north bay, 45 there. 54 in san francisco, 50s for the rest of the bay area. as we head through the day, again, lots of sunshine. not as breezy as it was yesterday at the coastline. 73 for san francisco, 77 for peninsula, inland valleys will reach back into the mid-80s. tri-valley one place close to 90. temperatures go up even more tomorrow and then we're in the 90s all next week. we'll talk about that and how that could impact fire danger as well. >> a warm-up on the way. anthony, thank you. happening now, pack your patience if you are hitting the road this labor day weekend. the b.a.r.t. will be closed for repairs again. for the second time in five weeks folks in the bay area will have to figure out how to get around with the 2. it will remain closed until

we're told the fire was mainly in the attic. it happened shortly after 3:00 on north 9th street near san jose state university. several people in the area reported smelling strong fumes from the fire. a firefighter had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries. no word yet on what start thad fire. a popular labor day destination now a danger zone for your pets. a warning this weekend after a south bay's family tragic trip to the russian river. the family's dog died after swimming in the river last week. sonoma county health officials say the river may be contaminated with toxic algae. the owners say the dog began convulsing and foaming at the mouth when it came out of the water. the algae warning resonating with many visitors. >> it's gorgeous to spend time here. but when something is like that that's out there, a family needs to be concerned. >> the river is still open. officials say if you do go there, stay away from the algae and definitely keep your pets

out of the water. a freak accident sends a kite surfer to the hospital. it happened yesterday afternoon just south of where sloat boulevard meets the great highway near the san francisco zoo. the man was kite boarding at ocean beach when strong winds lifted him out of the surf zone. he soared right into traffic and was hit by a car. many who participate in the sport say they are aware of the danger. they hope they can rely on equipment when it comes to emergencies. >> after being tossed and turned maybe you can get to safety eject on your harness. all the modern equipment has safety eject so this kind of thing couldn't -- isn't supposed to happen. >> they also say it is pretty risky because a wrong move combined with extreme weather conditions can mean disaster. a warning in palo alto this morning after a man exposed himself to two 10-year-old girls. it happened about 3:00 yesterday afternoon near the intersection of ross road and ames avenue.

the girls said as they walked past a navy blue hatchback they glanced inside and saw a man with no pants on. the man made eye contact with them before the girls ran home. this is the third case of an adult in palo alto since schools started last month. they are investigating whether those cases are connected. california could become the first state in the nation to expand it's yes means yes college training to high schools. lawmakers passed a bill that required school districts to teach sexual violence prevention as part of the health curriculum. this follows last year's legislation requiring most colleges to adopt yes means yes standard of consent when investigating sexual assault crimes. a child poor bust in san francisco involves young victims from several states and even overseas. some as young as a-year-old. yesterday the san francisco and fbi announced the arrest of cory

nicole ellis. the san francisco woman is accused of distributing child pornography. she allegedly communicated online with underaged boys coaxing them to send her explicit photos. through ellis investigators say they found patrick harvey of novato to trade with ellis and view child poor. they say the case extends to europe. >> cory nicole ellis used her powers of persuasion to convince the family of a uk couple to engage in sexual acts with their own children and record those acts and distributed it to her. fortunately they raided the house in the uk. they were able to separate the children from the parents. >> police say the many images that were confiscated, rather, had children engaged in sex acts with adults. a small crowd of protesters

showed up outside the county jail in san jose on friday to ask for justice for michael tyree, the mentally ill inmate was killed in a santa clara county jail a week ago. the sheriff has arrested three of her own correctional deputies for murder. matthew farris, rafael rodriguez and another face charges of conspiracy and assault. the district attorney's office is reviewing the case and will decide if charges will be filed. the undocumented immigrant accused of killing a woman at san francisco's pier 14 will stand trial. a judge has ruled there is enough evidence for juan francisco lopez-sanchez to be started with first degree murder. he confessed to shooting her in july when she was walking with her father along the embarcadero but he says it was an accident of his attorney said he found the gun on the pier, picked it up and it accidentally went off.

if convicted of second degree murder lopez-sanchez fades 43 years in prison. he could be convicted of a lesser charge of manslaughter. criticism for whole foods in oakland after a security guard beat a shopper unconscious. another shopper who saw the attack posted these pictures on facebook. a spokesman for high-end grocery chain said customer made physical contact with employee before the security guard intervened. that guard has since been fired but shoppers remain ournled. >> i don't think there's anything a customer could do short of assaulting another customer in the store that would require that kind of response. >> i'm completely shocked. i've never heard of anything like this. >> the customer was taken to the hospital where he is in stable condition. oakland police are now looking into what happened as is the chain. whole foods says it has launched its own investigation. much more ahead on "today in the bay." coming up, saying no to california. the stickers popping up in one

it has a name. chip, named by officers who rescued her yesterday. yesterday chip strutted her stuff at the oakland animal shelter where she rules the roost. >> she was on the national news as well as the local news. we just have a ton of people calling saying they are interested in adopting her if no owner comes forward. several people have come forward to claim chip, but they have no prove. they need ownership bill or vet bill. chip comfortable with her new home. with her fame she even laid an egg. chip is saying what about this tiger cup. the cub found wandering the streets this week. the cub is now in an exotic animal shelter near l.a. the tiger has a hernia and he's been declawed which means there is damage to his bones and his nerves. the cat will now go through reconstructive surgery. the department of fish and wildlife is trying to figure out

to the beach today, tomorrow or monday, we have strong rip currents in place. not so much high waves but definitely the strong rip current especially southwestern beaches ne beaches. keep in mind, it's going to be tempting to catch waves and rays. you definitely want to make sure you're paying attention to all your family member, everybody in the tribe, family, dogs, kids, everybody. temperatures in the 70s for most beaches. we had a cold front move through the last couple of days. that's why it hasn't been as hot. now that thing is moving to the east. high pressure going to build in. that's going to mean return of 90s headed our way this upcoming week attachment a look at what we're talking about and see for yourself. it's going to be hot, especially for inland valleys. east bay 86 today, nice and comfortable. but 90s all the way through this upcoming week. so labor day will be very toast y, especially in the tri-valley. same for the south bay temperatures in the low 90s by monday.

download our free nbc bay area app. the deadline is approaching. nbc bay area was the first to tell you about a santa clara county hospital that's way behind schedule. as early as this morning, the county, which blames turner construction for delaying the $300 million project is expected to decide the company's fate. we were the first with an exclusive tour inside the unfinished hospital. it was supposed to open in a few weeks. clearly that hospital is nowhere close to being done. "today in the bay's" robert honda broke the story and filed this report with new details. >> reporter: more on santa clara valley medical center's new 168 bed hospital facility, though no one knows how long turner construction will be on the job. the new building was supposed to open september 19th and house bmc's rehab unit as well as intensive care, burn unit and maternity. george williams was making a rehab appointment and upset to hear a bigger, more modern

that's where we have strong rip current risk in place for today especially along southwestern facing beaches. as we head through the next several days, high pressure nudges in a little more. we're talking about a warming trend, slight warming, but warming monday. san jose, 84 degrees, close to 90 for tomorrow, back into the 90s by monday. east bay valleys will really notice warming here. talking 86 for today. about a 10 degree jump for tomorrow and same for monday will temperatures will stay warm for tri-valleys, close to 100 degrees sunday, monday, tuesday even for wednesday. not as hot at the coastline but definitely san francisco will get in on this heat. 73 for today. mid-70s for tomorrow. labor day will stay warm as well for san francisco. 70s continue all the way through tuesday and wednesday. so again if you are going to be hitting beaches, keep in mind for rip currents. if you are going to be staying inland, get the ac ready. you know what, me and vicky were talking earlier. you know what, this is the best time to hit stores because they have sales. get some water slides, pools for

looking to get her first tech job after earning her certificate in business administration from uc irvine extension program. >> they saw my resume on monster.com. >> when a beta soft computer called, she listened. >> they said they would give us training for a month and teach us how to be a business analyst. >> it's a fremont-based information technology or i.t. staffing company numerator. in the past beta soft posted in the webs it placed workers in major companies, apple, bank of america for jobs. she put down $1,000 for six weeks of training but stopped cold near the end of the program when she got this. >> a five-page resume. >> how much of this would you say is actually real? >> about 1 to 2%. >> take a look at the original resume on the left compared to the one betasoft instructors made up. the betasoft resume is twice as long and lists skills and jobs

she said she never had. >> do you know share point? >> no. >> vizzio. >> no. >> is this just a bunch of jargon they put on your resume? >> yes. >> did you work in delaware for jpmorgan chase? >> no. i thought it was absurd that i would have to lie during all the interviews. >> they are prefabricated resumes. >> this job seeker shares a similar experience but said betasoft wasn't the only company to provide him with a fake resume. >> it's pretty common. companies all over the u.s. are using this practice. it's easy for entry level people. >> he risked it moving from texas paying $500 and six weeks of training. he shared an apartment while the company trained him and marketed this resume. >> i would say only about 10% of

it is true. >> how is that? >> i wouldn't know, i've never been there before. >> after several failed interviews, louis decided to speak out to warn other job seekers about a rick. >> career suicide. >> we found multiple online reviews about beta soft, they received five-star reviews. quote, was able to place me in a position that utilized all my job skills a reviewer in 2013 wrote, exceptional marketing staff, traing and provide great support. but other reviewers gave betasoft a one or two-star rating and we found complaints about betasoft's fake resumes going back to 2011. >> it's alarming for a lot of reasons. >> lauri represents better business bureau. there beta soft received four complaints in the last two years. >> if you got a job and have

done something wrong to get it, that could be a problem in the future. >> we found other i.t. staffing problems complaining about fake pay, fake documents and fake work experience. >> i think what we're seeing at this particular point in time is the hyper environment of the valley. >> the director of the center for applied ethics at santa clara university. he's worked for four decades as a business ethicist. >> so if these companies get someone hired in a high-paying job, these companies make money. >> certainly. this is all about the fees that a placement company gets. there's a shortage of people with certain kinds of training. there's a greater temptation today than maybe thereof five years ago to misrepresent the capability of the employees that you're placing. >> betasoft ceo received glowing profiles in newspaper and magazine articles. in 2013 she was named a woman of influence. but no one from the company would speak with us about
