"early today" starts now. i'm dara brown. the milwaukee melee is over and the dust is now settling. for two hours candidates clashed. tracie potts is live in washington. big night last night. who won? >> if anyone won it was probably some of those candidates not at the top of the polls but really at one point dominated this debate. there were some heated exchanges. they stuck to policy for the most part. and showed that there are some stark differences between these candidates. >> wear country of laws. -- we are a. we need border. >> in the fox business debate donald trump's planning to build a wall with mexico and deport 11 million undocumented immigrants. >> it is a dull argument. it makes no sense.

>> if republicans join the democrats as the party of amnesty. we will lose. >> the u.s. should not get bogged down in syria. >> we are not going to be the world's policemen but we sure as heck better be the world's leader. >> deep differences between the candidates. >> strongest military on the face of the planet and everyone has know it. >> i want a strong national defense but i don't want us to be bankrupt. >> we can't even have an economy if we're not safe. >> ben carson defending claims about his past. >> i have no problem with being vetted. what i do have a problem with is being lied about. >> this debate largely stuck to the issues. with middle candidates grabbing much of the spotlight. >> they also focused on the middle class. minimum wage. trump and carson both said they would not raise the minimum wage. next debate up in about the month, december 15th in nevada.

miles from its destination when witnesses say it clipped utility lines and slammed into a small apartment building. >> i was u.just driving down th road and the plane appeared out of nowhere and veered on its side and flew right into the duplexes there and it was engulfed in flames immediately. >> a snab was live chatting when she caught a brief glimpse of the plane. >> firefighters found the apartment home the plane hit engulfed in flames. the debris also set another home on fire. >> it struck the one house and then continued on into an embankment just behind that house. the plane became engulfed in flames, which ignited the residence that it originally struck. and then also continued on to another residence behind that house. >> no one was home at the time of the crash in the building. and no one on the ground was hurt. authorities don't believe anyone

on the plane survived. the investigation is under way. official wills hold a news conference at noon today. and people got a taste of the gusty winter weather yesterday. here is flagstaff arizona. a mixture of snow and ice made driving brutal. and parts of nevada got up to a foot and a half of the white stuff. but that didn't discourage these pooches. and across the plains it is shaping up to be a nail biter today. at least fifty flights out of denver are canceled. white outs and tornados are expected in oklahoma. with that blowing snow coming to kansas, nebraska and colorado. bill karins is here with more. >> we're going to see it all today. dangerous winds, blizzard conditions and even possibly tornados. this is the beginning of the storm in the colorado area. this is denver. they changed over to snow.

winter starting to gust at 35 miles per hour. big wet flakes. temperatures around 30. roads should be okay. and gusty winds today. already numerous accidents in i-70 outside of denver. 80 is closed heading towards nebraska. and they are saying if you don't have chains or snow tires do not be traveling on 70 today. we have a large area of blizzard warnings because of about five inch of snow and in addition you get gusts of wind it is hard for the plows to keep the roads clear. the forecast, most of the snow is going to be areas east of denver. that is where the blizzard warnings are. and dangerous winds, high winds from minnesota all the way back to new mexico. and wind advisories from chicago to amarillo. including dallas. that is huge wind maker of a

storm. usually gusts to 60 miles per hour we can get large branchs and trees coming down. so unfortunately there will be power outages along with the storm and the cold winds behind than we'd like in nevada. the final part of the storm is severe weather expected later this afternoon, including tornados. i'll tell you who that risks coming up. a university of missouri teacher is apologizing and resigning following major public backlash. amid the excitement over the resignation of the president and chancellor, protesters were seen shoving a freelance photographer. she holds a courtesy appointment with the journalism and made
