for a jet skier missing in the napa river. looking for a woman right now. friends say they last saw her on a jet ski last night near the napa valley marina. search crews found her jet ski, but not her. opened fire. you can see blowing glass and debris and people scrambling for cover on friday night. now, with those images fresh in their minds, this new video purporting threats against manhattan, times square, a gap store in herald square and tgi fridays and yellow taxi cabs, terrorists wearing suicide belts is making a lot of new yorkers feel uneasy. new york leaders say the propaganda was thrown togethers and released to take advantage of people's raw nerves. >> there is no credible and specific threat against new york city. >> new york, obviously, remains one of the top terrorist targets in the world. that video, our review of it, it looks like it has been hastily produced. it is a mishmash of previously released video. >> now, meanwhile, this is new video just into our newsroom in the last half hour or so in the

scene of that siege in that paris neighborhood and now in the last few moments we have confirmed that the alleged mastermind of the whole coordinated attack in paris was the person that was killed there aside from the suicide bomber. again, we're just confirming that in the last few moments. this new video where folks are still analyzing the scene there. now, new this morning, also belgium announced a $427 million anti-terror plan in response to those paris attacks. more on what that plan means for belgium and for paris coming up. but right now i'll go gather more information on the killing and the confirmed killing of abbas, the person who planned the whole thing. sam and laura? >> thank you very much. that is huge breaking news this morning. at 4:34. the political battle over syrian refugees will surely heat up today on capitol hill as house lawmakers hold and at the same time the house judiciary committee will hear testimony from leaders and homeland security and the state

gun. sources tell us the gun was stolen last month from that cad cadet's trunk. it's not clear what punishment the cadet will face or if he will still be given his banal on graduation day. right now it is 4:36. early on a thursday morning, everybody talking about those cold temperatures, once again, kari. >> yes, bundle up, again, as you head out the door. not as cold as some of the temperatures we had earlier. it's 47 degrees in san jose and still chilly. napa 42 degrees and san francisco at 50 degrees or maybe we're just getting used to it at this point. as we go into the day, our highs topping out, once again, in the upper 60s to lower 70s. half moon bay 69 degrees and embarcadero at 66 degrees and upper 60s to lower 70s else where across the bay area. we'll check out that weekend forecast coming up in a few minutes. let's see how it looks that san mateo bridge. >> we're looking right at the high rise. very easy drive westbound with these headlights and camera

those raids. th how were they able to make this confirmation? >> we were waiting for some time to get that body identified. we filmed it exclusively yesterday as it emerged from the apartments that had been targeted by police. the paris prosecutor saying this morning that they can confirm now that abdelhamid aboaaoud, the delay was due to the fact that the body was mangled, riddled with bullets and they had to identify the body through fingerprints and dna. remember, they went to the apartment because they had a tip off that abboud was there. they launched that raid early in the morning at 4:30 and were immediately repulsed by the terrorists inside. a woman suicide bomber who blew herself up. and then there were 5,000 bullets fired by police and the apartment was partly destroyed. as i say, they removed the body, but it's taken them some time to

identify him. remember, he was the target of the raid. it had been thought that he was in syria. so, either this is a huge success for the french police or it is an intelligence failure. yes, they have removed the so-called mastermind, the coordinator of these terrible attacks in paris that have killed 129 people. but how on earth did this man, the best known jihadi in france slip through and get into paris in the first place. both failure and success here in paris. matt and savannah. >> bill, thank you very much. the headline abdelhamid abaaoud the mastermind of the terror attacks has been killed. >> all right, good news coming out there this morning. that raid yesterday very successful as they were intending to go after the mastermind of the paris attacks and he, in fact, was killed.

you can see the traffic flow very light and very easy. we had no problems this morning, including visibility all around the bay. like i said, crystal clear, kari. kind of crisp out there. but what is it like today? >> you need to bundle up and some spots with patchy fog and this is what you need to know as you head out. today's weather headlines, we start out with clear skies and every now and then you may encounter some fog and sunrise at 6:51 and sunny and fall-like weather today. more of those 70s and gradually clear and breezy sunset at 4:55. now we're in the mid-40s and low 50s in san francisco. north bay 42 degrees and we also have some 40s sprinkled across the east bay and walnut creek 44 degrees and the south bay 47. let's take it hour by hour in san francisco. warming up into the low 60s. mostly sunny skies. and clear skies as we head into tonight, as well. 56 degrees later on. checking out the weekend forecast into the upper 60s to

lower 70s tomorrow. more of that as we head into the weekend, but turning a few degrees cooler in some spots. and few more of those gusty winds kicking in by the end of the weekend. we'll look ahead to the thanksgiving forecast coming up in a few minutes. let's send it back to sam and laura. it is 4:50 right now. a san francisco woman is venting her frustrations on social media. after facebook suspended her account all because of her name. i explained in a series of tweets that her personal facebook account had been suspended. facebook thinks i'm a terrorist sending a screenshot of my passport isn't good enough for them to reopen my account. facebook is backtracking saying it is an error and her account had been flagged by other user as fake or offensive. the account is now back up and running. no mistake that isis is

slowly taking over social media. 100,000 twitter accounts belong to isis recruiters or supporters. now a new program is able to identify those accounts. company called white canvas group created software that identifies isis recruiters and their sites. some have already been shut down or altered by other organizations. >> it's telling us we'ith 95% t 100% accuracy, this is a bad guy. this is a bad guy. >> company's founder tim newberry says he hopes more members of the hacking community will embrace the idea and help shut down isis's recruiting pipeline. he plans to release software for free to anyone who wants to help out. there is a silicon valley link to isis. the san francisco startp called cloud flare is being criticized by many, including the group, anonymous. protects websites from crashing or being hacked. reportedly close to 40 isis-related websites are being protected. the company's ceo did not

early tuesday morning. so, kind of a heads up as we head closer to thanksgiving. a lot of snow expected in the sierra and we could also see a couple rounds of that rain moving in between tuesday, as well as wednesday and then it all wraps up just in time for thanksgiving. let's get a look at this morning's commute now with mike. >> my maps were also in green for the present but we're looking at live shots of the golden gate bridge. there is the zipper truck moving across the span getting ready for the morning commute. farther north, a slight building and a couple more cars southbound, nothing big. the speed at the limit and novato and coming down through petaluma, as well. oakland approaching the bay bridge. northbound moves smoothly to the toll plaza. the overcrossing has been slowing earlier and there were no incidents, probably just a couple slow-moving vehicles. back to you. >> thank you very much, mike. today people in the east bay have a chance to give their two cents on plans for 2,500 acre regional park. talking about the concord hills regional park which would be

built on the concord naval station not far from interstate 680. part of that land will be on the naval base that was closed back in 2005. it is expected to generate revenue by providing hiking trails and a visitor center. the public is invited to tonight's meeting at the concord senior center starting at 6:30. this year's push outdoors instead of in stores for black friday. thanks to a private donation, save the redwoods league will make 50 state parks free for visitors on the day after thanksgiving. the only catch here is you have to print out a pass first at the save the redwoods website. participating parks include in jack and london state park in the north bay. also big basin and henry cowell state parks in santa cruz county are also in that deal. >> they're saying it will cost you more to host thanksgiving this year. the american farm bureau just released new numbers this morning.

it says the average cost for a thanksgiving dinner for ten is just over $50. that seems a little low to me. it's actually up 70 cents from last year. what is driving up that price? turkey, pumpkin pie mix, rolls and stuffing all more expensive. not even to mention the wine, sam brock. >> two buck chuck, you're okay if you go that route. a smuggling bus at lax and we're not talking about drugs here. custom agents seized 450 pork tamales from a traveler earlier this month. they say the man coming from mexico admitted to having food on a declaration form, but he denied it was pork. customs agents say that pork could potentially introduce foreign animal diseases into the u.s. the traveler was hit with $1,000 fine and the tamales were thrown out. >> yeah, i guess the chicken tamales are fine, but not the pork. >> i guess they weren't stuffed. >> somebody was. 4:57 right now. coming up, we're following breaking news from france.
