"early today" starts now. i'm dara brown. it was a frightening thanksgiving at the white house. a lockdown has been lifted after a man draped in a us flag hopds the fence all while the first family was inside. >> the secret service took down this man who jumped over the white house fence while the first family celebrateding this inside. >> i was climbing like crazy. >> the jumper identified as joseph caputo scaled the nearly 8 foot fence. instagram shows tourists scattering. prompting the white house into lockdown for several hours while secret service combed the ground. it has happened before but this is the first person to make it over since spikes were added in summer. and it is one of the few times
