you know what we can report. we see traffic op the bay bridge and hopefully will clear out because there are no accidents on that curve. a south bay's family's journey to find answers to what happened to 28-year-old kyle myrick. this afternoon, his accused killer will face a judge for the first time since his disappearance. tracking the latest on this investigation, bob, the suspect is already saying he's been fra framed. >> reporter: correct, sam. that suspect, steve hlebo saying during a jailhouse interview on tuesday, he told us for whatever reason he believes his co-workers drugged him and now trying to frame him for the murder of kyle myrick a man he only worked with a few days last week. >> i am not a murderer and i did not murder any one.

>> that was the suspect, steve hlebo in the jail interview. his family thinks hlebo was lying and was involved in the disappearance of 28-year-old kyle. john sparry organized another search for his stepson, the third of this week. the search was on the lexington reservoir all the way to santa cruz. you can see a drone to search the hard to reach areas and reservoirs and woodland. without giving up too much. they believe hlebo child myrick on friday in a burned out bui building next to the gp sport motorcycle shop in san jose where both men worked and they believe he dumped the body elsewhere. the family is asking local businesses to check the swains camera to see if it captured the white truck with tinted windows

and if you remember seeing it between 6:00 friday evening to saturday morning and they have reached out to the marc klaas foundation to help find kyle. back to you. thank you. new details of a disruption that caused a temporary disruption of the closure of 1080 and san leandro. at 10:15 p.m., a report of a man swinging a stick on a freeway. it happened on the boulevard off-ramp. somehow that man managed to stop and board a transit bus on the freeway. after nearly an hour officers were able to coax him off the bus and into custody. a near month-long occupation reaches a boiling point. one person dead and others in custody after an apparent shootout with authorities. it is happening near burns, oregon, an occupation at a

wildlife center has been going on for weeks and now violent. how did this suddenly escalate? >> it seemed to start with a simple traffic spot. we will find out about that as the fbi and other law enforcement agents talk about the arrest and if there was a shootout. there were shots fired during a traffic stop yesterday afternoon as those protesters left that wildlife refuge for a community meeting. this is the man that was killed, a rancher from the area who had been quoted during this week-long standoff he'd rather be killed than go to jail. his daughter did confirm his death. he and other protesters were on their way to a community meeting when they were pulled over by the oregon police and fbi. they were among the armed protesters who took over that wildlife area along with other fellow ranchers on arson

charges. ammon bundy who was leading that occupation was among those arrested. his brother was also arrested. two other people were arrested in separate but related incidents and an eighth person turned himself in arizona. >> peaceful resolution, that's what you hear over and over again. now, one of my friends is dead. doesn't sound very peaceful resolution. they say you can leave and yet somebody's left and now they're arrested. >> up to this point, protesters had been allowed to come and go freely from that refuge. a week before the arrest the ranchers attended this community meeting about 45 miles away where some residents told them, it was time for them to go home. they plan to charge all of the men with federal charges of spirns and impede officers of the united states from discha e discharging their duties through the use of force, intimidation and threats. a long list of charges. a felony charge.

screen, you will see how our temperatures go down into the weekend and early next week. it is cool in san francisco and the peninsula, we drop in on the north bay, 47 degrees in nevada as well as calistoga. 47. we take it hour by hour in san francisco. low 50s starting out the day. still some clouds by 10:00. by 11:00, the sun starts to peak out and we will see the sun w m warming up to the low 60s there. for the next three days, we will have our temperatures slightly above average in the south bay and rain moves in tomorrow and temperature going back down and we will see that rain off and on, on friday but we may be taking a break saturday. here's why. we see that first system moving in late thursday night and friday bringing us rain and looks like that heaviest rain

will be for the north bay. saturday, a little bit of break once again. not as much widespread rain and comes back and this will be a south bay rain. we will see it shifting as we go to the weekend but still wet weather headed back in. let's check in to see what's happening on those roads. >> we're looking at the san mateo bridge across the bay. you threw in another source and i don't know if we can take it right now but i did move into that shot. the bridge moves as well. that wirder shot, we wanted to see the traffic moving in to this city. it's moving well and no major issues at the bay bridge toll plaza. we will track this the next couple of weeks, with the super bowl in the next couple of weeks, you never know what will happen. the burst of traffic, we will track it for now.

crews recovered one of their bodies on theea a follow-up now on the search for two bay area students swept away at sea. crews have recovered one of their bodies on the beach. the remains of 19-year-old was found yesterday. a wave hit them and threw them into the ocean. a cyclist came across her body on monday, about 3 miles from where the two were last seen a week earlier. her family now has to prepare her memorial service. >> we absolutely absolutely w t wanted to get her back, so that there could be a closure to the family's grieving. anywhere from the youngest child and oldest child is thankful to the god that we have her back.

contained images of other people using the restroom. police eventually arrested an employee named marcus baback a he was promptly fired. we should tell you this video is a little unsettling. in early january, fairfield police arrested brandy, the person in this video which appears to show the dog being thrown to the ground. the dog is okay. her boyfriend's pug thrown is all right and she faces felony animal abuse charges. to move to a developing story and violent turn of events in oregon. occu occupiers face down with authorities leaving one of the occu occupiers dead. chris, they've been occupying that national wildlife center for weeks now. what caused the situation to escalate now?
