they want to kill off the salt marsh mosquitoes. if you have ever been bit this is probably the mosquito that got you. recent rains allows the eggs to hatch sooner than usual and the virus and pregnant women and the agency said mosquitoes are short living in the environment. if you want to learn more about what type of insecticide that is, you can find that out about this time. this is likely something we will see more of as we head into the spring. in palo alto, kris sanchez. tragedy at sea. a man trying to save his wife drowned in pacifica. the man was waiting on the beach when a strong wave knocked her into the water. larry moore, her husband jumped

in to help her out and they were both interceptd out to sea and a nearby surfer risked his life to save her. >> got hold of her and we both tumbled in shore break and got sucked back out and tumbled again. >> incredibly courageous efforts. that surfer got the woman back to the shore. they then got the husband but it was too late. the woman was hospitalized and no word on her condition. >> you have the rip currents and you have to be careful. a lot of people heading to the coast. >> absolutely. we will continue to have this warmth over the next few days with a lack of rain and strong cold fronts moving through. we start with 53 degrees in oakland, low 40s.

sweat eer streak. >> it looks like spring outside and we will continue to have more of this. yes, the streak continues as we take a live look at the bay bridge. we don't have much in the way of fog except for the north bay, patches of fog this morning. the 7-day forecast is coming up at the bottom of the screen. come over and take a look. we won't have as much a change in our temperature the next few days. it's 52 degrees in san francisco. in the north bay, 76 degrees as we get a closer look, low 40s in napa. 45 degrees in santa rosa, while nevada doe is 48 degrees. a few clouds in the mix. we had quite a bit of cloud cover, especially in the afternoon and wind coming in from the north at 5-10 miles an

watching yellin testifying before congress today. here's what happens with the irs. it says identity thieves managed to breach computer systems in an attempt to get information used to steal refunds and they want to generate 10 numbers to file fraudulent returns and they said no personal information was disclosed by the computers. recalling cars that could explode with airbags with too much force. it affects models including c class, m class and slk. they say it is precautionary and no injuries have been reported. >> it is 4:48 right now.
