today. no change. we'll see temperatures in the mid-70s. highs today of 75 in the east bay. the peninsula, 72 degrees and south bay at 76 degrees. we'll continue to see this. mike. s the san mateo bridge? >> it continues to look good. we're looking at your map and see to the problems. nothing to avoid here. we have your typical overnight road crews. the road crew repair work going on the only major issue for folks connecting from ail me da to oakland. a tragic discovery in nepal, found wreckage in a plane in the

nepalese mountains including 23 people and tourists and nobody survived. we're learning that flight only lasted a total of 18 minutes before it disappeared. >> that's right. the control tower lost contact with the small plane shortly before it took off over mount n mountainous terrain in nepal 125 miles west of the capitol city of kathmandu headed to the city op johnson known for trekking. all the families of those 23 people on board, all they can do is comfort each other and wait for answers. it's not sure what caused that crash but the airline's website said the weather was good in the departure city and arrival city and the fog hampered the search for the wreckage some two hours later. of the 23 people on board, 20 were passengers, 18 were nepalese citizens including two

master's shooting range, coincidentally next to the police department. the target is set off. right now, there were four people who went into that business, broke in. one of those people is still inside and consideraccording to they told him to drop the gun. he refused to surrender. police don't want to run in as you can imagine he has access to a lot of weapons considering it's a gun shop and shooting range. suspects were apprehended and taken into custody from the surrounding area where you're looking at right now, down the train tracks. we saw some inside the police vehicle with a white substance on his face, maybe from a cement fixing plant in the process of escaping and got water on his

face. he had a peculiar look to him. three people in custody and one inside refusing to surrender the weapon. right now, you have a standoff involving milpitas police and san jose police helping capture the spukt as part of a mutual aid. bob redell in the bay. >> here's another developing story this morning, a torso discovered with head, arms and legs apparently severed. it's just being revealed. right near the marchlands road near dumbarton. after they removed it from the area, they searched around and under the bridge. it was found by a fisherman sunday night and head and limbs

are missing and police are calling it a suspicious death. >> they said for everybody to leave. i just left and said don't go under the bridge. >> the coroner has not identified the human remains. if you know or saw anything you're asked to call fremont police. >> a good wednesday morning. we haven't seen much change in terms of those temps. >> it continues to warm up each day even though we had chilly temperatures to start out, we're anywhere from 51 degrees in san francisco to 38 degrees in livermore and 37 in san jose. highs in the mid to upper 70s in some spots while pacifica stays at 68 degrees, santa rosa, 76, 76 in concord and danville up to stret stret 77 degrees.

==sam/2shot== by a burglar or robber in sayss imagine being left angry, scared and bankrupt. >> we spoke to one woman who was victimized not by a burglar in a dark alley but right out in the open. actually in the courtroom. we have that story. >> good morning. those accusations are about her attorney and we investigate how a state agency created to protect consumers from bad lawyers managed to put people at significant risk, according to a recent state audit. california has its own separate

court system to investigate and discipline lawyers run by the state bar. the audit found to reduce its backlog they allowed some attorneys they might have disciplined more severely or even disbarred to continue practicing law at significant risk to the public. the audit found as the complaint backlog increased in 2010 the california bar decreased the severity of punishment for lawyers. as a result, the bar dismissed more cases and settled others with written reprimands. the chief operating officer, leah wilson blamed the lack of oversight with past policies. it aimed to decrease its backlog of complaints down to zero but wilson said that was unrealistic and ultimately caused what she described as a crisis. the state bar is in the process of restructuring its staff to adequately handle complaints while also decreasing its backlog. back to you. >> thank you very much.

range right next to the milpitas police department. what happened is four suspects got into the gun shop this morning and police managed to arrest three of them. there is one suspect still inside the gun shop. allegedly holding a gun up and police told him to drop the weapon. he has not surrendered as yet. a very active situation in milpitas this morning. boibs gathering information for us. >> we will check in with him soon on the weather and traffic front. is this the exact same forecast with a moderate tweak? >> moderate tweak, warming it up each day. beautiful conditions out there, as you head out, we have some chilly separatitemperatures, ta live look at san jose. nice and quiet start for the day. the 7-day forecast at the bottom of the screen. some slight chances friday and

on sunday. 43 degrees in the north bay. 48 degrees in the peninsula. south bay, 73 degrees. 43 degrees in morgan hill and saratoga, 44. a jacket definitely needed. taking it hour by hour in livermore, temperatures from the 40s to low 50s by 9:00, many people are getting up, heading out and getting on those road y roadways. we'll see the sun throughout the day and it will warm up to the low 70s the next few days. we will see an increase in cloud cover but that doesn't happen until thursday night and late friday. here we go with our chance of showers starting in the north bay. it looks very light unfortunately and will be here in time for the evening. be sure to put that in your evening plans. you may need the umbrella even if just for a few minutes to have the showers move through.
