we're doing the best in the northern sierra. where that snow was just streaming in the weekend. and we're at 102%. sierra still has some work to do, but compare that to last year at this time. it was just at 16%. unfortunately, there is no more snow in the forecast this week for them. and our temperatures will be warming up, too. we're up to 77 degrees in the south bay on thursday. in the peninsula, some low 70s there. upper 60s on friday. we'll see our temperatures coming down just a few degrees by the end of the week, but over all, a lot of sunshine and dry weather over the next few days. so, the futurecast shows nothing going on until late sunday night and to start out next week. we'll still have some scattered showers moving in. and then temperatures dropping for the beginning of next week. so, a look at the weekend forecast as you make plans. i know it's only tuesday. but we're looking ahead to the weekend. we'll be in the upper 60s in the peninsula. 71 degrees on saturday. and then sunday is when that chance of rain returns.

kris sanchez tracking the race to the white house. >> separation tuesday as runners on both sides aim to distance themselves from their competitor. here's what to watch for on the republican side. senator marco rubio will have to win his home state of idaho and trump is so confident, in fact, he canceled the campaign event in florida and went to ohio where he is falling second to john kasich, the ohio governor. if trump wins both of those states, it will be difficult for any other candidate to catch up before the convention in july. on the democratic side, former secretary of state hillary clinton is pulling ahead both in florida and in ohio by double digits and in ohio by 6%. bernie sanders not as far back as he was last tuesday and that is in large part because of an unexpected win in michigan last tuesday. polling ahead will help the frontrunners not only focus their messages for the november election, it will also save them the money it costs to compete in all of those individual primaries. in the newsroom, kris sanchez,
