thanks for joining us today. stand by your man. that is the tone from donald trump after his campaign manager was arrested yesterday. charged with one count of misdemeanor battery. this appears to show him grabbing now ex-reporter michelle field's arm as she tried to ask trump a question during a rally. he turned himself into police and was issued a notice to appear in court. his attorney says he's innocent. what is the latest? >> heated words at a town hall in wisconsin last night. there were accusations and explanations as the republican candidates for president tried to convince voters to choose them. >> caller: ted cruz, donald trump and john kasich tried to sway voters during a town hall ahead of next week's important

primary in the state. a defiant trump defended his campaign manager in the wake of a battery charge against him. >> i'm a loyal person. we have to tell it like it is. it would be so easy to terminate this man, ruin his life. >> trump says he will not fire him even though security video shows him grabbing a reporter at a campaign event march 8th in southern florida. ted cruz, fresh off an endorsement by scott walker -- >> i have chosen to endorse ted cruz. >> says the incidents shows a greater problem. >> now physical violence. that has no place in a political campaign and no place in our democracy. >> kasich agrees. >> if it was me, if i was in this circumstance, i would take some sort of action. either suspension or firing. >> reporter: hillary clinton applauded the reporter for following through on the incident. >> certainly suggests that the
