lot more for a busy wednesday, "early today" starts right now. good morning, i'm dara brown. the badger state has spoken. for the democrats, bernie sanders is the projected winner, leading hillary clinton by double digits. the win nets him 46 new delegates, clinton picks up 43. he's now less than 250 pledged delegates behind clinton. but when factors in super delegates, sanders trails by more than 600, he's hoping to capitalize on the push this win gives him. >> with our victory tonight in wisconsin, we have now won seven out of eight of the last caucuses. >> secretary clinton tweeted congratulations to bernie sanders on winning wisconsin. to all the voters and volunteers who poured your hearts into this campaign. forward. h. the two will debate in brooklyn on april 14th. with new yorkers going to the polls five days later on the 19th.

of states. mississippi's law takes effect in july. janet shamlian, nbc news. on to missouri, where a dramatic police chase was caught on dashcam video. it happened on sunday, an ended when a speeding suv flipped multiple times through the air. it lands in a ditch after the driver lost control and the driver wasn't wearing a seat belt. was thrown from the flying suv. lucky for him the officer saved his life by performing cpr. >> a nurse who witnessed the crash also came to help. the driver was reportedly talking to paramedics as they took him to the hospital. history was made last night by the university of connecticut women's basketball team. >> the national championship goes to connecticut for the fourth year in a row. as the dynasty fulfills its destiny.

>> the huskies took home an unprecedented fourth straight championship, beating syracuse in an 82-51 finish. uconn had a strong start out of the gate, with brianna sort earning ten points in the first six minutes. building a 23-6 lead over syracuse. the orange managed to close the gap to 17 in the third quarter, but they were no match for the huskies as they restored their lead and finished their undefeated season while notching their 75th consecutive win. uconn's sort was named the final four's most outstanding player for the fourth year in a row, huskies seniors graduate with an unprecedented 151-5 record. it was a close call in china where a van nearly drove into a landslide. the driver managed to stop just as tons of rock and earth poured down on to the road. officials say the slide was caused by days of drenching rain. and here at home it is a week of weather extremes. let's get the details now from bill karins. >> how old were you when you
