in some places breaking records. 80s and 90s in the forecast today. just get on ready. temperatures very mild, 40s and 50s. the east bay already 61 degrees and usually temperatures rise 20-25 degrees. you can better believe it will be warm. talking temperatures today that rise 30 to 40 degrees in the course of the entire day. that puts us at 92 degrees for the south bay, 88 for the east bay, even san francisco will get to 86 degrees and 92 expected in wine country. we'll talk more about this heat and when it will break and the giants' home opener tomorrow. mike, a look at the san mateo bridge. >> i spied a stalled vehicle around the shoulder. just about 90 seconds ago, that car disappeared from the shot when i wasn't looking. i'm trusting it drove off. if it disappeared, i will let you know something mysterious. your map on the peninsula side. southbound 11 and millbrae, on

the shoulder. no slowing. it's wednesday. back to you. >> thank you very much. all new this morning, the search continuing for a robbery suspect who took police on a high speed chase to several east bay ci cities, all along had children in the suspect's car. police say charles justice robbed a nordstrom rack yesterday afternoon. he was armed at the time. police spotted justice and a chase followed. officers abandoned that space after the suspect with kids in the car drove into oncoming traffic. police are still looking for justice. at the santa clara main jail, you look at this picture, you can see the aftermath of that brawl. the fight happened on the second floor medium security wing yesterday morning. the jail was on lock-down about an hour before returning to normal. the jail has barely been out of

the hearing lodlines lately. last year a mentally ill inmate was found in his cell and now three correctional officers are on trial for beating that inmate to death. san francisco police arre arresting two men for allegedly stealing hunter pence's scooter, the same scooter he donated to the make a wish foundation ra e raising 30,0$30,000. the hunt is on for the suspect. all three were caught on camera breaking into the foundation's building sunday. officers spotted two of those suspects in the tenderloin and arrested them. decision 2016 now, a big night nor the underdog, republican ted cruz and republican bernie sanders winners in wisconsin beating the respective front runners, cruz calling his victory a turning point and bernie sanders saying his campaign has more momentum. >> with our victory tonight in

reporting now, take a look at this x-ray. i am no doctor but that appears to be a ringside the suspect's body. police believe he swallowed it to keep it from officers. they believe he swallowed it after stealing it from a home and they believe he swallowed it after breaking into the house and he crashed his car. the police noticed that ring and he admitted to stealing more. >> what else did he digest? tackling the housing crisis,

oakland city leaders trying a new solution to this problem, hundreds of oakland residents filled the city council chambers last night to demand action. the plan approved unanimously freezes rent for 90 days. that does not apply to units built after 1983. renters say they have seen prices jump 13% just in the last year. the music will play. a controversial new concert venue gets the green light in san francisco. the armory at 14th and mission will be able to host 4,000 people. but before the concert, the armory's owners will have to put in new security plans, kink.com. some owners who oppose the plan are trying to appeal that decision. a long time friend of brian stowe is planning to spread the message of anti-bullying. >> 61-year-old andrea duncan calling it steps for stowe.

this afternoon. the rest of the bay area, hot everywhere. 88 degrees for the east bay. >> for the north bay and parts of the south bay will reach back to the low 90s including downtown san jose. it will be hot everywhere. if you have the day off headed to beach. that's the place to go to. half moon by a light northerly wind, 10-20, up to 89 degrees and santa cruz up to 90 and the boardwalk hits 90 and up to the hills a little warmer. it will be toasty overall and see that big ring of clear skies talking about the ring of fire. we have our own ring of fire at home this morning. clear skies will drive offshore winds through the day and where we warm up. it will be replaced quickly tomorrow by low pressure that scoots off toward our door. we put the futurecast in motion, that's what happens. tomorrow, the wind arrows shift a little more to the south and brings in muggy air. good news, it is not as hot
