way in the bay area. you can see bright sunshine and that's the case across most of the bay. temperatures in the south bay close to 70 degrees. cool across parts of the north bay at 61. as we head through the day, not going to be as hot today. 72 for san francisco. same for the north bay. it will be toasty for the inland locations like the trivalley and south bay reaching back into the low 80s. tracking a rough morning on the roads. how is the morning commute? >> a lot better than it was. the crash cleared and we have seen a good recovery. 88 looking good. we'll see more traffic later this evening as folks head toward san francisco. the giants play tonight after work. we have clearing and a better drive on both directions on the 101. speeds are quickly recover there had. in the south bay the northbound routes continue to show slower drive. san jose is not bad. both directions still a problem on the bay shore.
