afternoon after the parents allegedly watched the 23-year-old strike and shake the 10-month-old baby. danville police arrested her on charges of child abuse. >> she was transported to the martinez jail. the baby was taken to the hospital as a precaution. neighbors told us she had been babysitting for that family for the last few months. >> i thought that's always scarey. you're leaving the child at hand of somebody hoping they are trustworthy. >> thank god they took the measures and had a nanny cam in place. and they were able to find out what was happening because of that. >> a 23-year-old michaela riry is due in court to face child abuse charges. we don't know if they hired her through care.com, but i found her there. in this video she describes herself as a business student with nine years of experience working with children ranging

from 3-month-old to 13 years of age and is a former summer school teacher and camp counselor. someone checked into that account this morning. police have video captured by the nanny camera, but they will not be releasing it at this point. kris sanchez, today in the bay. suspects arrested in a sex trafficking bust expected in court today. james joseph jr p.m. are expected to be arraigned today. investigators say that pair ran a sex trafficking ring centered in san ramon and danville. they were arrested last august with a third suspect anthony reynolds. several young women were allege lid victimized. a developing story at 6:04. the search is on for this man, 19-year-old christian cruz tied to a deadly shooting in san francisco. police call him a person of interest. a fight broke out at orange memorial park yesterday

afternoon. two men were shot. one died at the hospital. the other is recovering. christian cruz is considered armed and dangerous. a bay area connection to a gruesome discovery of a woman's body found in a car right by colorado storage unit. investigators say that the woman was killed by james wo of san francisco. wu left her body in her car at the storage unit. he was arrested in seattle friday and trying to fly out of the country. >> he was an hour from departing the state for hong kong. we were over to get homeland security, provide them with the information and they made the apprehension on the aircraft. >> colorado investigators are asking people in san francisco who know the suspect to contact them. identifying human remains is proving to be difficult. the coroner's office has not beenable to identify the person's sex or age.

skull and bone were found last weekend in a drainage ditch. investigators do not believe it belongs to a native american. later today, a couple of san francisco leaders are going to call for better protections for tenants hit hard by fires. they say they are new fire safety legislation protects fire victims. they are introducing that bill at noon in front of this building in the mission which caught fire the third time last night in about a year. a person died in that first fire. a second blaze broke out in march. all fires are still under investigation. no tear, just a sprain. that is good news for steph curry. the bad news, he will be out for the next two weeks. an mri revealed curry suffered an mcl sprain. curry slipped in a wet spot on the court. physical therapists believe time

amazon. this means amazon is losing money on every single delivery, which the company can afford to do. it appears to be a way to convince people to become a prime user in the same way they offer free videos to prime users. this could be devastating to companies that cannot afford to lose money on every delivery. the ceo of door dash will respond later this week on my sunday morning show press here. >> the whole point of karma is what goes around comes around, right? in this case it's true even when karma is an electric car. you may remember the fisker karma back in 2011. the company went bankrupt. this morning we learned the company is going to reintroduce karma and build it in california and call it the rivero. there is obviously an appetite for expensive electric cars.

we'll reach into the upper 50s to low 60s today. scattered showers in the forecast tomorrow. we are watching this cluster of clouds just off to the west of us. as that moves in late tonight, the showers will follow during the morning commute. once it rolls off to the east, we'll have mild and breezy conditions for thursday into friday. a quick warm-up this weekend between saturday and sunday. we'll have highs reaching into the mid 80s. get ready for that. we've been talking about a warm-up. it comes this weekend. scattered showers tomorrow off and on through at least the morning and early afternoon. it tapers off by the evening. by thursday our temperatures already start to feel milder reaching into the low 70s for the peninsula.

of the thousands of people in san francisco who rent out their homes like airbnb, well under half are registered with the city which is required by law. to get more compliance, the city wants to put the screws on the short-term rental sites themselves. today san francisco's supervisors will introduce new legislation that would require sooi sites to verify that the property owners have registered with the city. they are making the companies responsible for ensuring its users comply with the law. if renters fail to register, it would be those sites that could face misdemeanor charges and fines of $1,000 a day for violation. >> overall, we are also not in favor of passing laws that deputize to become law enforcement agents of the city.

that is involved a number of vehicles. saw a big distraction and slowing coming off 880. if you are coming from the peninsula, you're doing all right. leaving the east bay, you might want to take 92. the san mateo bridge which does have more traffic flow but unimpeded by any incident. we'll give you a live look at fremont and show you south of there. 880 picks up that volume. haze in the air. we'll show you the north bay as well. southbound 101. brightly lit so you'll need those sunglasses. not a lot of issues. typical slowing down toward the 580 split. >> nice to see the sunshine. >> 6:50 and one year after a deadly balcony collapse in berkeley, law makers are taking steps to prevent similar tragedies from happening again. state senators are holding a hearing on that collapse. they did so yesterday.

baby. the police arrested her on charges of child abuse and again she was transported to the martinez jail. the baby was taken to san ramon regional hospital for precaution. she had been babysitting for the family the last few months. we don't know if they hired her through care.com. in this video she describes herself as a business student with nine years of experience working with children ranging in age from 3 months to 13 years. she says she is a former summer school teacher and a camp counselor. according to the care.com website, someone checked into her account some time this morning. 23-year-old michaela riry is due in court to face a judge today. kris sanchez "today in the bay." suspects arrested in a sex trafficking bust are expected in court later today k. james joseph jr and this woman

are expected to be arraigned today that. pair ran a sex trafficking ring centered in san ramon in danville. they were arrested in august with a third suspect anthony reynolds. several young women were victimized. the search is on for this man, 19-year-old christian cruz tied to a deadly shooting in south san francisco. police call him a person of interest. officers say a fight broke out in orange memorial park yesterday afternoon. two men were shot. one died at the hospital. the other is recovering. christian cruz is considered armed and dangerous. if you see him call 911. at 6:7:00, moving on to decision 2016, polls are opened in maryland, connecticut, rhode island, delaware and pennsylvania. all holding their primaries today. hillary clinton and donald trump leading in the polls in all those states and nationally. check out this new nbc news and survey monkey poll. 50% of republican voters prefer
