nobody knew who trump was at that time, so it wasn't so important. but i would never want to use my name, because you had to pay more money for the land. >> trump's sit down came with another day of protests on the campaign trail. hundreds of demonstrators took to the streets of anaheim, california during his visit. the images that came out of albuquerque, tuesday, protesters can be seen hurling objects at police and trump supporters. the officers pushed them bark and a handful arrested. that violence came after he referred to them as "thugs flying the mexican flag." his feud with the state's governor, susana martinez, reached new heights. that's after she responded to his criticisms. >> it doesn't bother moo whe wh says. it just doesn't affect me. i was a prosecutor for 25 year,

it is not something that's going to affect me. >> his relationship with martinez continued to fray. trump did make in roads with house speaker paul ryan. they spoke by phone after reports that ryan could endorse trump as early as this week. the purpose of last night's call was to continue their conversation about unifying the party. that, on top of a campaign shake-up for trump, like wiley leaving, after just six weeks on the job. the donald told "extra" that he is ready to get in the mud with hillary clinton. >> she is tough. she is resilient over the years. she has been doing this for a long time. they're really nasty and hurt a lot of zepeople. >> i heard you have lot of info on them. >> we'll see what happens. the fact is, they're very tough. they're very nasty, they play a tough game. >> president obama told reporters today that trump's

candidacy is having a negative effect on leaders around the world. >> they are paying very close attention to this election. i think it's fair to say that they are surprised by the republican nominee. they are not sure how seriously to take some of his pronouncements, but they're rattled by him. and for good reason. an independent government breathing new life into hillary clinton's e-mail controversy, use of a personal e-mail server for official business when she was secretary of stated. andrea mitch al has details. >> again dogged by her e-mails. an investigation from the state department, blasting clinton for using only a private home e-mail server, while secretary of state. and finding she violating the federal records act by not

officers from part-time to full-time. >> in front of the house committee, administrator peter neffenger says a combination of factors are to blame, including more flyers, less screeners and fewer travelers that have applied for the government's precheck program. meanwhile, the tsa says it has cut the lines at chicago o'hare to just 20 minutes from two hours last week. this morning, the head of the tsa appears exclusively on "today." another round of severe weather barrelled across wednesday, rolling through abilene, texas, dirt and debris. emergency managers say at least 20 homes were damaged or destroyed. check out how close storm chasers got this tornado in abilene. you can see a video in the thick of things. fortunately, no injuries reported. nbc meteorologist bill
