breaking news in the south bay. one person is in custody following what people are saying is a fatal hit-and-run. it all started after midnight, excuse me, before midnight, when a car struck a woman underneath interstate 680 near jackson avenue. this woman is said to be in her 20s. police say a second car struck the victim and took off. officer caught up with that car on nearby jackson avenue. that driver is in custody. happening now, a major thorough fair, caltrans crews are working to repair a massive sink hole, all northbound lanes are shut down near 132. traffic is being diverted on to forth bound 33 and back on to i-5. the sinkhole was first spotted yesterday morning. take a look at itful cal-trans began excavation work, more than

tripling its original size. the ultimate goal is to figure out what caused the sink hole in the first place. if it was a pipe issue, they'd be able repair it fairly easily. they expect the lanes to open by tomorrow afternoon. a developing story t. u.n. says at least 20,000 children are trapped in the center of a bloody battle for control of fallujah. unicef says clean water is in short supply. iraqi troops backed by u.s. coalition launched a military operation to try to capture that city from isis. cloouj fallujah is the last major area in western iraq controlled by that terror group. this morning, video of two when wanted in the east bay. union city police say it shows the pairs shop lifting the items from a rite aid. the two len were later involved in piedmont, involving a car

yesterday. the two 15-year-old's were apparently best frien >> the body of a second oakland teenager was recovered from a reservoir yesterday. the two 15-year-olds were apparently best friends. they both drowned after jumping off a boat into the woodward reservoir on saturday. they were on a family vacation east of stockton, a group of seven people dropped into the water, but the two teenagers never climbed back into the boat. brazen and ruthless, police released a video of two armed robbery suspects, attacking employees. >> this happened in light april. some of the neighbors wanted to know, why western we told about this. these images show two men entering hp food supply on 3rd street. the 1st suspect is holding what appears to be an uzi type machine gunpointed at an employee and walks around the desk and punches that woman. the two men then ransacked the

the on shore will ensure the coast will see mild temperatures as inland spots have those temperatures soar well into the '80s and 90s. use caution between now and thursday. still have dangerous surf. a southwesterly swell, it could lead to sneaker waves out on the coast. our temperatures continue to climb, you want to head out to the beaches, use caution again, that can produce dangerous conditions, economy out on ocean beach. temperatures today, upper '80s to low 90s in part of the sioux bay. san francisco, the coast, not so bad. lots of 60s and 70s there. mid-80s, tri-valley, mid-90s, temperatures set to climb a little hotter, though, by the time we get into tomorrow and friday. this is when high pressure should peak, which means some of our temperatures here from about thursday through saturday in san jose in the low- to mid-90s. we begin to see those temperatures drop into sunday and monday. check out pleasanton there,

star power. talk show host star jones is stumping for clinton tonight in the east bay. she'll participate in a women leader's meet and greet and support clinton's campaign. this is happening at a downtown oakland club at 6:00 tonight. the stars align for bernie sanders, he is certainly hoping so. the district presidential hopeful is ramping up his campaign in the bay area. today he will be in palo alto for a community panel with asian american and pacific islander leaders. that happens at 1:00. he heads off to a rally. both events are taking place at the community center fields. again, that's in palo alto. and sanders' visit coming as his supporters are using the courts to try to shake up the california primary. they filed a sweeping injunction that would extend the voter registration deadline until election day june 7th. >> that motion will be considered by a federal judge. the vote would create chaos.

they say a ten foot white shark bit the woman leaving her with a wound that stretched from her shoulder to her pelvis. >> she had extensive lacerations to her right arm and multiple lacerations extending in what appeared to be a semi circular pattern. it's very obviously a mouth. can you see the drool martian from individual teeth. >> authorities say the woman was swimming ability 150 yards from shore, training for an ironman competition when the shark attacked her. new video, a huge gator captured on a golf course. it's so large, it almost doesn't look real. golfers stopped what they were doing. some still the reptile to be up to 15 feet long. golf course employees say the gator is actually good for business. people come by to catch a glimpse. >> how fast do those thing run?
