kari, tell us the forecast. >> the's going to be warmer than yesterday. we'll have a lot more sunshine. we have scattered showers in the north bay. we are still seeing that going on this morning. elsewhere, mostly clear at 59. in the south bay and already 62 in san francisco. low 80s for the south bay and tri-valley. it will be clearing in the nortç bay. i'll talk about hot temperatures this weekend. that's coming up in a few minutes. mike is tracking a closure in the east bay. >> typical overnight. we have road work here. you could exit and get over to waste or westbound. that will add time on your commute. keep that in mind.

let's get to breaking news. there was a close call in the south bay. look at that, narrowly missing the father and son as a cargoes into the home as well. >> kris sanchez live at the scene with details how it unravelled. >> good morning. listen to this, the mom, dad, 5-year-old son and friend were sitting on the couch talking about wedding pictures. they just got married three weeks ago when this happened. you see the pole here on the ground. just give you the scale how big these poles are. you can see it laying on the ground. according to santa clara fire department, the driver of an suv crashed with another car in the intersection here at lafayette and lewis. the young father patrick paul who watched that car smash through the window where his 5-year-old son and friend were

sitting said the driver appeared to be drunk. >> we had two vehicles involved in a collision. one vehicle went into the structure knocking down a signal pole. we have live wires and pole halfway into the house. we have minor injuries to the occupants in the house. >> the dad patrick paul says the suv not only crashed with that another vehicle into the pole and into the fence hitting the wall and window of the home, pushing the couch into the center of the room. dad said if that had not all happened, the suv would have hit the house with much more force and probably would have been catastrophic for the 5-year-old son sitting right underneath the window smashed with their friend. they were just having an evening together, looking at wedding pictures from their wedding just three weeks ago. they are grateful it wasn't worse. they did have minor injuries. dad has a stitch in his foot.

the 5-year-old is okay, sleeping with mom this morning. they say the son will not play in this front yard ever. kris sanchez, today in the bay. >> that will be tough manles for them. it is 4:34. opening statements begin this morning, criminal trial against pg&e and deadly san bruno pipeline explosion. 34 homes were destroyed when a major pipeline ruptured in 2010. they are facing 12 separate criminal charges including shoddy record keeping and failing to properly inspect the lines. there was obstruction of justice charge for allegedly lying to investigators. here we have it. it is the call everyone is talking about this morning or will be. seth curry getting ejected leaving the game in the final minutes. as this was happening, explosive allegations flooding twitter.

one from curry's wife. she wrote, "i've lost all respect, sorry. this is absolutely rigged for money or ratings, i'm not sure which. i won't be silent. just saw it live. sorry." she has taken down that tweet and apologized, but a lot of emotions surrounding last night's game. >> not the first allegations we heard. colin is there courtside. >> for the first time steph curry gets ejected from a game. the two-time mvp lost his cool and subsequently his team lost game six of the nba finals. >> it's obviously frustrating to be fouling out fourth quarter of a clinching game and not being out there with my teammates. it got the best of me. i'll be all right for next game. >> three of the six fouls were incredibly inappropriate calls

people held a candleg vigil in san jose yesterday -- honoring victims of the shooting massacre. silicon valley standing in solidarity with orlando. local employees union organized it. people from all different backgrounds came together. the outpouring of love and support for the victims and survivors keeps coming. this is a tribute from the federal reserve bank of san francisco. they tweeted out, we stand with you, orlando. >> new details as to what the gunman was doing during the attacks. the fbi says he spent a significant amount of time on his cell phone, texting his wife. at one point the wife text, where are you? he responds, do you see what's happening? she replies no in his last text, i love you. he posted terrorist propaganda online and searched for

headlines about the massacre. yesterday president obama and vice president biden traveled to orlando to try to console victims and survivors. >> once again as has been true too many times before, i held and hugged grieving family members and parents and they ask, why does this keep happening? >> the first of 49 funerals took place yesterday. juan guerrero was laid to rest, just 22 years old. he came out just a few years ago. embraced by his family. new details of the alligator attack at disney world, the park will add alligator warning signs along the lakes and lagoons that did not exist before this week it dragged a 2-year-old into water. the little boy was wading in a lagoon that had a "no swimming" sign posted.

few seconds. checking spotty light rain north of the bay area. this was the case yesterday. much of the rain stayed away from many of the more populated areas and stayed across the north bay. we are seeing temperatures now there in the upper 50s with mostly cloudy skies. also in san francisco with mostly clear skies in the south bay. as we drop in to get a closer look, we have temperatures in the low 50s in morgan hill. 55 in willow glen and campbell 56. we start out with a light southerly wind. it picks up and becomes more onshore as we go through the day. the winds won't be that strong. only up to about 10 miles per hour. you won't feel much of a breeze, a lot more sunshine and temperatures warmer than yesterday. up to 82 in gilroy, half moon bay 72 and 70 in san francisco. antioch 80s and danville up to 80. that begins the warming trend.

as the system fades, the heat will build into the next couple of days, but it still shows a lot of clouds through the rest of the day and tomorrow. all clear as our temperatures start to warm up. looking at the trend for the next five days, we will be still below average in some spots for today but making it above average tomorrow and low 90s to start out on sunday into next week. our temperatures look to stay in the 90s for most of next week for our inland valleys. i'll keep you up-to-date on that. let's head over to mike to look at an issue on the bay bridge. >> traffic does flow smoothly here. heading in toward the tunnel, westbound. the issue was a disabled vehicle. past tense. they report all lanes clear now through treasure island tunnel. no problems between oakland and city by the bay.

chemotherapy drug to tumors and allows them to target cancer cells and spare healthy ones. they think the new treatment could help reduce the weakness and other side effects patients face during traditional chemo. mosquitos continue to test positive for west nile in the south bay. here is a map showing areas crews will fog next friday including oak ridge mall. with mosquitos everywhere, several neighbors have and will be fogged. cdc reporting three babies born with birth defects linked to the nika virus have been recorded in the united states and three other babies have been lost in miscarriages or abortion. that comes as mosquito season ramps up in the united states.

some experts say that virus will spread into southern and southwestern portions of the united states. that would include southern california. 4:49. the first family is california bound. the president and his family expected to arrive in the central valley today. tomorrow the obamas will take a tour of yosemite national park and carlsbad caverns. it's the 100th anniversary of the national parks services. trip advisor has issued a list of the most popular national parks. >> millions of travelers chimed in and the grand canyon is the top park to visit. the other top destinations include bryce canyon in utah, grand teton national park in wyoming and then help me here.
