transcripts of the chilling 911 calls made by omar mateen during the massacre. the transcripts show what he told authorities while he was carrying out his deadly rampage. the release made controversy when the fbi tried to censor what they said, only to change it later in the day. dave gutierrez has more. >> reporter: at 2:35 a.m., more than a half hour after the first gunshot, omar mateen calls 911 and speaks to a dispatcher for 50 seconds, in arabic, he says praise be to god. he admits, i'm in orlando and i did the shootings. >> he did so you in a chilling, calm and deliberate manner. >> reporter: mateen then says i pledge of allegiance abub bakr al baghdadi, omitting any reference to isis, and after critics, like paul ryan, saying

they were minimizing the threat, the fbi released an unredacted version, calling it an unnecessary distraction. >> we're not going to propagate rhetoric. >> matt tehe falsely says he ha explosives in a vehicle outside by 4:21, they pull an air-conditioning unit out of a window. at 4:29, they say the gunman is threatening to strap vests to victims still inside the club. at 5:02, the s.w.a.t. team swarms the building. >> there was a misconception we didn't do anything for three hours, and i'm trying to clarify that's absolutely not true. >> yesterday, presumptive republican nominee used his signature reality phrase to one of his own, he gave corey lewandowski, the boot, saying you're fired.

same period. trump campaign spokesperson said there were no concerns regarding the new sec report. trump's campaign shake-up came after new details emerged of a scary incident of a u.k. man who was arrested at a rally in las vegas. he walked up to a uniformed police officer and attempted to take his gun. he was unsuccessful. the man, michael sanford, he wanted the gun to shoot and kill trump. court documents say he traveled from california from las vegas, and went to a firing range to learn to shoot a gun. if he were on the street tomorrow, he would try this again. officials say sanford appears to have mental problems. he has been charged with an act of violence on restricted grounds or against someone under secret service protection. it was a bizarre but serious incident. online, our nbc news team
