threatened them with a gun. the bay area wife of the orlando gunman wants a refund from three plane tickets he purchased for his family for a flight to san francisco. he bought those tickets the day before the shooting. sources tell nbc news he called the unnamed airline and told them her husband died and requested a refund. so far she has not gotten that refund for the tickets. the shooter bought those three tickets for a july 14th flight to san francisco. the family was planning object visiting his ailing monday. the alligator that attacked the 2-year-old boy in orlando has been captured and filled. that's the word from florida officials since lane graves was killed last week. they trapped a total of six el xwators from the lagoon. alligator warning signs are posted at the lagoon.

the 2-year-old boy was laid to rest tuesday back home in nebraska. today a baltimore judge will determine the fate of police officer peter goodson jr. he stands in trial in connection to the death of freddie gray. >> he drove the van which gray was fatally injured. second degree murder, three counts of manslaughter, second degree slaut and reckless endangerment. goodson's is the most serious of the charges. many hope whatever the judge decides, the reaction after will be peaceful. >> i don't want to see anyone get locked up and i don't want to see harm come to any person or to any present the in baltimore city. >> two other officers charged in the case have already gone to trial. one ended with a hung jury and that's going to be retried. another asked for a bench trial and was acquitted on all

"today in the bay" starts right now. good morning to you. thanks for joining us. i'm laura garcia-cannon. >> i'm sam brock. progress is a relative term. we are seeing some progress yesterday. >> a couple of degrees. this weekend it gets hot once again and those temperatures ramp right back up. as we get a look at what's happening now, how about 48 degrees in the north way? that will feel nice and cool. and 56 now in the east bay as you head out. highs reaching 80. 56 in san francisco, 86 in the north bay. still a big spread in the temperature range across the bay area.
