handcuffs. police say he was captured overnight at a resident in las vegas without incident. perez was initially taken into custody as a suspect in the shooting death of a man following an altercation with a man at a mcdonald's. >> more than 500 killed. that's the gruesome milestone chicago residents are waking up to this morning. with the city's top cop calling it a society issue, not a police issue, cementing its reputation of the murder capital of the country, chicago witnessed 13 fatal shootings this labor day weekend alone. that brings its annual total to 512. that number is more than los angeles and new york combined. a lot are gun related with 82 shootings per week. city officials blamed the killings on increased gang activity and also weak gun laws. >> if we had the gun laws in chicago that l.a. and new york have we would see our violent crime cut in half. >> the minimum penalty for having an illegal gun in chicago

places like florida that could really use it. also five more cases reported at ft. bragg. although those seem to be travel related. the republican leadership's plan is to take it the money from planned parenthood. they can't seem to get this done. by the end of the month they've got to do something to keep the government running and they want to attach the zika funding to that so that if the government stays open, places like florida can get that money. but it's not clear what the path is going to be to get that done. this morning a minnesota hometown is reeling in grief and outrage from the outcome of a plea deal that has allowed a confessed killer off the hook for murder. he admitted in chilling detail
