american community. it's on quimby and tully roads in san jose. in fact, these are live pictures from the scene. the folks who live here, their bad luck started two weeks ago when another crew accidentally severed a gas line. now they're without water. families resorting to using pool water to keep toilets flushing but that's no consolation for this lady and her neighbors all day long. >> i have to go to work. i can't shower, haven't showered. >> reporter: that's something she could have dealed with but it comes on the heels of another major inconvenience. >> a couple of weeks ago they broke a gas line and we were without gas and no hot water. >> reporter: that problem lasted

about three days. management brought in portable showers. two weeks later they're dealing with a water crisis. >> what can we do. >> reporter: all they can do is deal with another bad situation. we spoke with management who tells us that they're also frustrated. they brought in a truck load of bottled water and port-a-potties hoping to ease the pain. >> our neighborhood is so congested with other vehicles there's no place to park. >> reporter: castro believes management could have handled the road improvement project better because the promise of better roads hasn't been heard. only on nbc bay area, new twist to what's becoming a common neighborhood crime. this home security video shows a woman pushing a dog in a stroller along beddington street early saturday morning. you can see her check a stoop and grab a package. the victim gave police the video and hopes someone recognizes the

who have not been located yet. a jury trial is set to begin today in a lawsuit filed against nba player derrick rose. a former girlfriend accuses rose and two friends of gang raping her two years ago. he used to be a bull. now plays for the new york knicks. his lawyers call it a money grab. they say he will not be in court but he's expected to appear during the trial. no more sunshine for the so-called rainbow crew, a group of thieves who hit a group of stores. more than a dozen members named for their brightly colored hair have now been arrested. investigators say they have stolen $200,000 worth of merchandise. the sfpd says it's not over yet as there are more. right when you're used to going back to store for your purchases, things could be changing.

shows newly released dash cam audio shows them discussing running him over. >> they ran up on him and shot him. you don't get to shoot somebody because they don't drop their knife if you're 27 feet away. >> the mann family filed a civil lawsuit against the city of sacramento and they're asking that murder charges be filed against the police officers. a followup on the wild pigs that are reeking havoc in the evergreen neighborhood in san jose. the city is letting them shoot them. there are some guidelines. you have to prove that nonlethal methods didn't work, that you tried them. you also have to obtain a permit from the department of fish and wildlife. you have to alert the police department an hour before you shoot the pigs and only shoot them after they've been trapped.
