skies. low clouds lit up by the city lights below. for the afternoon, highs only in the low 60s, low 70s inland today. a good chance of rain and win later. we'll have a look at the forecast coming up in a few minutes. now let's check in with mike for your morning commute. >> we have a minor crash, in the north bay, vallejo. no major issues from the south bay along the pns. we have the fog creeping along the coast. over here is highway 37 off interstate 80, a car hit the right shoulder. it is over there on the right shoulder. anywhere west of 29 you're fine heading across to 101. >> breaking news into our newsroom, a massive x finney comcast outage. california, washington state, a large part of the east coast and then central as well.

no word so far on what's causing this outage or when service will be restored. obviously we'll bring you an update when we get it. comcast the owner of this television station. >> more breaking news overnight. a man found dead on the streets of san jose, now the search is on for a homicide suspect. >> "today in the bay's" kris sanchez live where that happened. chris, can you tell us more about the investigation? >> reporter: all we know is that the investigation is happening so far behind us that this is about as close as we can get to the homicide scene. it's in the parking lot of the lowe's home improvement store off interstate 880 in san jose. it has been about six hours since police found the body of the victim and no sign of his killer. the man was unconscious at the time and injured badly enough that it was obvious to officers who are a rooifd on scene this was not an accident.

about 200 yards from the crime scene is the entrance to a homeless encampment. we don't know whether the two are related. san jose police have been on scene since about 10:40 last night, combing for clues. what they have found they have not revealed to us yet. if they release a suspect description, we'll bring that to you as soon as we can. this man is san jose's 38th homicide victim of this year. kris sanchez, "today in the bay bay.". >> thanks for the latest there. 4:33 right now this morning. three police officers recovering after a late night hazmat scare. it started when sunol police officers approached an suv near interstate 80. the car contained five gallons of ammonia and seven points of bleach that spilled. the officers had difficulty breathing and tightness in their chest. they're expected to be okay.

bob redell will join us with a live report at the top of the hour. a fire growing in wine country. crews continue to battle a fire dangerously close to homes in napa county. that was yesterday afternoon. right now a mandatory evacuation is under way for people living in campbell flats and campbell creek. crews attacked the fire from the air and the ground but the fire still grew to 53 acres. right now people living nearby are hoping for the best. >> it's nerve-racking, but there's nothing you can do about it. you have to go see it for yourself. >> what stuff do i care about? >> cal fire says at this point the fire is 20% contained. >> it is 4:34 right now. back on the water, crews will try to salvage the boat that capsized over the weekend. investigators say the boat was over capacity. 27 adults and three children were rescued from the water, all

said to be doing okay. this is the second time in five weeks that a boat has capsized in the bay. >> three students from mountain view high school behind bars of accused of making violent online threats against students and staff. police say the threat was made on social media. authorities are not specific about that threat. they only say the posts vowed to do harm to students and staff. all three arrested yesterday morning. >> hopefully they'll take this as a warning call and people will learn that you're going to get in trouble if you do something like this. >> police say the students will be charged but because they're juveniles, we don't know exactly what those tharjs will be. >> 4:34. the game everyone will be talking about today. the october magic in full swing for the giants. the play that had fans holding their breath last night. for game four's forecast, temperatures in the low 60s. in case there's another 13th inning, temperatures in the mid 50s. rain back in the forecast, we'll

where just hourago-- t holy cow, what a night for giants fans. a live look at at&t park. hours ago the stadium was packed with fans on the edge of sthar seats. surprised there's not still somebody walking out. it was late. one thing we've learned, nothing comes easy with the giants. >> 13 innings later and the giants pulled off a win against the cubs.
