california. so normally, it's a player of the day. we're giving it to the whole raiders defense. this defense was so good and so improved, why were they able to do something today that they haven't been able to do -- they were one of the worst in the whole nfl, and today they were one of the best. >> it's an attitude. when you look at norton, he's been getting a lot of criticism, but he can go out and tackle, can run coverages. these guys had to make a man to man effort and say we're going out to do the things. look at this play by. you have three guys, that's a big-time play in the rally today. >> you're saying it was more of an effort. this defense can play like this all the time. >> this defense has been underachieving, the coaches know it, the players know it, that's why they found the alarm. this is a bigtime win. this defense hasn't been playing well, 500 yards in total offense.
