>> breaking news. police are trying to untangle what led up to the killing of two people in a hayward neighborhood last night. you see an active scene. >> we are getting information from police. when we drove by the scene, it was completely kill. we showed you some of that video. they tell us it just happened around 8:30 p.m. last night near 400 rancor place in hayward. a residential area. we spoke to a witness told a man may have started an altercation in the parking lot of an apartment complex in that area with two men who live in the apartments that led to the double fatal shooting.

investigators are looking for another driver of an acura also involved in the race but who took off. the crash victim's name has not been released. one of the suspects arrested forred murder of alameda county sheriff's volunteer will be in court today. laura rogers is expected to be arraigned for the murder. rogers is believed to have been friends with the victim. investigators found the burned body in oakland park thursday. curtis taylor has his arraignment thursday. three people accused in the murder of a young peninsula father scheduled to appear in court today. his body was found two days later in sonoma county. authorities arrested the mother

of his children along with her boyfriend at the time and a friend of the couple. all three have pleaded not guilty. a freeway shooting and wild police chase in the east bay. this morning the suspect is behind bars. it started around 9:00 saturday night when one driver allegedly tried to run another car off the road, then shot at it on 680 near sunol. officers tried to pull over that suspect but he kept going to walnut creek and the b.a.r.t. station there. he then tried to flee on foot. >> off to a mild start. on the coast, still high surf up to 9 to 11 foot offshore. mid week we'll see high surf return. dangerous conditions out there on the coast as storms and big waves. unfortunately, not much in the

san jose chamber of commerce who opposes measure e. gonzalez and south bay labor council are trying to garner publicity for this measure that voters will consider during tomorrow's election. if passed, measure e would help part-time workers in the south bay and another fast food worker we met at her home. it would force employers to offer more hours to employees working less than 40 hours a week before they could hire more part timers. she is trying to feed her three kids on less than $100 every two weeks say the extra hours would go a long way. the chamber of commerce say the measure would hurt businesses and would some part-timers out of work. >> it's going to shift all the hours over to 28,500 employees and the rest of those, which is roughly 40,000 employees are going to lose their jobs. >> we would like them to live
