obama mounts a counter attack making a last-ditch effort to save the affordable care act, and he wants to chart out a path, and the republicans made an abrupt about-face on opening day and armed with a large majority, the first list of the congress quickly went off the rails. and gop leaders followed their attempt to gut the office of congressional office, and donald trump called out some of the fellow republicans for what he says was a badly timed move. the debacle intended to showcase the gop's new agenda and paul ryan took the gavel once again, and high on the agenda, replacing what president obama is looking to defend.

announced he will hold his first formal press conference since july 27th. it's set for january 11th, just hours after president-elect's planned farewell address in chicago, and he announced the news via twitter and also announced a delay to discuss russian hacking, and perhaps more time needed to build a case. very strange. that reiterating his skepticism of the u.s. intelligence community. chuck schumer had tough words for trump regarding that tweet. >> you take on the intelligence community. they have six ways from sunday at getting back at you, so even for a practical supposedly hard-nosed businessman he is being really dumb to do this. what i am told, they are upset with how he has treated them and talked about them. >> an official is firing back saying there has been no delay
