san francisco 50 greekz and the reason for that is because right now we are seeing a weaker disturbance that is bringing moderate to light rainfall. san francisco has already managed to see some rain but right behind that forming just off the pacific we can see that atmospheric river that is expected to bring heavy downpours, windy conditions which is going to be a major threat in terms of flooding which is why later tonight we will be expected to be under a microclimate alert and this is looking ahead tonight into sunday. we are expecting an inch to 3 inches of rainfall and of course those strong gusty winds as well but i will have a closer look at that timeline and what you can expect for tonight's microclimate weather alert at about 7 kwln 16. >> people who live in the north bay are bracing for this next round of storms. crews cutback trees that fell on utility lines and businesses are keeping their sand bags and flood barriers ready to go.

could cause trouble downstream where coyote creek goes through san jose. >> kelly park area, hellier, there's tho some low points there, parks and roads that could be flooded first. >> right now the anderson reservoir is at 101% capacity. the wourt district is required to keep the dam below 68% capacity because it sits in an earthquake zone but it could take up to nine weeks to get the water tlaefl row. it's not just the anderson reservoir, other reservoirs are also over capacity. the lexington reservoir is spilling over right now it is 100 pun% full and with the incoming rain it means we could see some flooding along the creek. now, the reservoir near morgan hill at at 102% full if the has been over capacity for a couple of weeks now. the water levels at lake

night like this weekend. nearby victims rescuers found a driver dead inside a car on a flooded road. two passengers were killed in separate accidents along a slippery interstate near san diego. and a man was electiontry cuted when power lines fell on his car. downed trees were everywhere due to winds gusting up to 80 miles per hour. homeowners are facing a massive mud cleanup. >> so i'm trying to clear a path so i can take the lumer out of the slots and these guys can come in and help me with a front loader and help me with the driveway. >> in san person with dean oall eyes on this mountain the fear is that saturated ground will give way again. conditions not so deadly and difficult up here in the bay area, but we are seeing quite a bit of rain headed our way.

>> i've got to say being from southern california i know a lot of those freeways and those roads and my parents live live there and we're tracking a potential storm that could bring up winds up to 50-mile-per-hour gusts. right now if you are waking up in the south bay, 48 degrees were peninsula 48 degrees, mostly cloudy skies. we have seen a disturbance that kind of grout some rain to areas of north bay and also san francisco over the past couple of hours and we are going to see that disturbance kick up showers here and therefore san francisco. as we begin to see some of this rainfall kind of moving through, this isn't the worst of it. we're actually tracking that atmospheric river that is expected to come in tonight. and you can actually see it right here on the radar. that is going to bring in moderate to heavy downpours through tonight and stormy conditions as well. so the let's talk about this

hour-by-hour outlook. as you can tell by about 1:00 we can see a few of these scatters showers. so we're expecting the chance to see some showers all day long not just for the north. fast forward to about zpoen clock areas of morgan hill and the mountains will start to see some flooding ahead of that river. but fast forward through 3-clirt a.m. you can he see the orange, yellow, purposing that's where we're expecting those conditions to pick up and they will come into play for flood watches. by 12:30 we kind of see this band bulls aye around liver more, san jose as well as it comes in from the sounl and winds will pick up as well bringing a high threat of downed power lines and knocking trees over. looking ahead to 90 we're not under an alert but we should be by tonight. the monday rain totals could be

anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain which could make for very dangerous travel as well. wind gusts could be anywhere from 30 to 50 miles per hour, and of course the weather service ahead of this storm has issued a wind guise advisory that will take effect tonight at about 4:00 and remain in effect until 4:00 on tuesday. by about 5:30 on monday half moon bay 40 miles per hour per hour, and even down near the south we had about 24 miles per hour. so just looking ahead at the estimated wind gusts we can see that the winds begin to pick up and also this is going to bring a huge threat for localized flooding and, of course -- but right now the reds voirz are at capacity. we took a look at anderson it is 101%. coyote 103% and lexington lexington already over 100% capacity if the this ask something we will be monitoring with that incoming storm. now, we do have a couple of

attention to the timeline and exactly when we're expecting to see the heaviest of the downpours and those windy conditions. we're going to have flash flood watches in effect through tonight as well. san francisco seeing light to moderate showers about 50 degrees right now. near oakland also seeing those overcast skies, 51 degrees so the temperatures are mild in the 50s all across the board. san jose 48 degrees it is going to feel a little more chili out the we seen that line of showers kind of make their way through and we will begin to see periods of moderate rainfall as well as about 3:00 to 4:00 as well. so it's going to be kind of on and off again throughout the day but you want to run your errands today because right behind thank you can see we have an atmospheric river that is expected to bring stormy conditions across the bay area which is why we were looking

on a mountain that could come down. at times it seems nowhere is safe from the day luth, even the mall. this suburban shopping center parking garage turned water fall forcing pay tronz to get out wick. >> a man breached security at the honolulu international airport. the man ran through a security checkpoint at a small commuter terminal just about 6:00 a.m. yesterday morning. this is a video of the scare. the manmade it could where arpz are parks before he was stopped. after a brief struggle the man became unresponsive and soon after he was pronounced dead. the exact cause of that man's death has not been released. a security officer was hurt during the incident. east bay's chp officers say they came under fire during a

the time is 7:46. president trump deportation push against undocumented imzbrants well under way. less certain is whether he'll order the removal of their children. president obama shield many through the backup program deferred action for childhood arrival. when asked about daca last thursday, mr. trump seemed to hesitate when he described undocumented children as, quote, using criminal kids. so the big question will they be allowed to stay? larry, how many kids, give us a sense, how many kids are a part of the daca program right now in the u.s. >> white a few. about 750,000 undocumented immigrants across -- children across the nation are part of

daca. but get this, one-third of that number, about 250,000 reside in california, mostly of course with their parents. >> so we have a majority of them. many of them they're called the dream thers generation, right? and so we've heard so many stories of success about young people who have came here, they came here illegally, did not have a choice, per se, some of them were babies at the time. but now a lot of them are stuck, there's a lot of uncertainty. what do you think, you know, is the president's hesitation when it comes to daca? >> it's a catch 22 all the way around. president obama set up daca to protect children would were brought to the united states illegally with their parents. when the program was first established in 2012 any child who's 31 or younger could apply for temporary residency if the child remained in good standing, for example, no felony convictions, or she may apply for another reinstatement on and

on every two years. so there's a moral issue whether to punish these kids because that would what it would be who have no say in their future simply because they were brought here by their parents. >> and given these issues and mr. trump calling these incredible kids, what do you think the possibility is there will be a roll back or do we see this program somehow extended? >> it's a tough twouns answer because on the one hand when campaigning trump promised to end daca on day one, day one of his administration. on the other hand, removal of daca kids could galvanize immigrants, legal or other wise, and make trump appear heartless. we do know this. trump aides have come up with something interesting, two documents that would remove daca participants without involving the president, little slight of hand thing here. one option could take place with new attorney general jeff sessions ordering the department of justice lawyers to review the program and decide it's illegal. and air second option could come through conservative governors suing the trump administration for continuing what they

consider an illegal program and in this case sessions could decide just not to defend it at all, which would make it easy for a judge to find for the states. but in either case, vicky, president trump could be insulated from any direct involvement and that might save him from grief. >> well, what do you think will weigh in whether, you know, it's going to go one way or another and this obviously probably won't go down without a fight. >> we're going to have to watch carefully. first of all the president's standing well, the public. we know his rollout has been abysmal. leading the nation of dreamers would not grow his base. if the president can improve his standing he might have a little wiggle room were political capital to carry out that daca promise. but bottom line is this management of the daca program has the potential for being

incendiary, how trump handles it even if it's through others in the circle may add to the firestone already hamp erg his administration and that's one other headache he doesn't need. >> do we think this is a priority? i know there were many promises made during the campaign, but daca does it go on the back burner or come to the forefront. >> the president said he wanted to eliminate all 11 million undocumented immigrants. then he said we're going to get rid of 7 or 800,000 criminals. but we know the sweeps we saw last week, lots of others, children and parents, were swept in along with those criminals. so where it goes right now is very unclear. >> and it has a huge impact here in california. thank you as always for your insight. >> coming up, the severe weather force a local to get creative. how zoo keepers are keeping the animals safe. >> and we are of course already
