we are hoping for a dry day. >> it will be dry but chilly. our temperatures in parts of the bay area dipping into the 30s this morning. and with this clear and cold start, here's a look at the current temperature in san jose. 38 degrees. colder than yesterday morning at this point. napa is 36. santa rosa, 32. morgan hill just one degree above freezing. right now at 33 degrees. we are going to have chilly temperatures continuing in the forecast, along with scattered showers. we will talk about how much rain to expect heading into the weekend coming up. mike has activity reported at the bay bridge. >> highway 9, highway 35 over there in the la honda area.

rights were violated. when delta flight left in new york, they were met by customs and border protection at the doors of the airplane. they were checking passenger i.d.s as thief came off the plane. we asked what was going on. >> he said it's not for you to worry about. he said we do it from time to time. >> a customs border protection spokesman said they were looking for a specific person and, "this individual was ordered removed by anim tkpwraeugz an immigration judge. the individual was determined not to be on the flight. the officer's actions were, quote, unconstitutional. bart is contemplating raising fares.

microclimate forecast at 4:45. a clear drive over in the tri-valley. we had that closure last night on niles canyon. once again i'll give you the latest coming up. mike, kari, thank you very much. 4:40 on on your friday morning. we are learning criminal charges may still be filed in the wake of an incident that got ugly involving an off-duty lapd officer. an unidentified officer firing his gun into the crowd while confronting teens he said walking across his lawn in anaheim. an attorney representing two of the young people is calling for an independent investigation. >> the police officer pulled out his gun, discharged his gun. there were 13-year-old, 14-year-old kids nearby. that was reckless and dangerous. >> the attorney believes that the city of anaheim went too far in initially trying to defend the officer's actions.

where we can dry out. watch the water levels drop. the weekend is looking better too. even though we will have scattered showers moving in. we are not going to see a heavy rain. a live look outside at san francisco. we're starting out with quiet weather conditions this morning but very cold. as you head out, 42 degrees in san francisco. the highs today, 51. getting a look at more of these temperatures dropping below freezing in the north bay, as well as the south county. we will continue to see the temperatures dipping a few more degrees at sunrise. seven-day forecast coming up at the bottom screen. highs reaching into the hid 50s with sunshine and scattered showers for the weekend. ahead of that rain, keeping an eye on reservoir levels. anderson reservoir, still at 102% of capacity, as well as uvas. lexington, 101%.

some others are dropping below 100% of capacity number. monitoring the storm system set to move in. stormranger parked on san bruno. this will change this weekend. the rain farther north will be dropping south along the coastline. with this track we will not see it bring in a lot of heavy rain. looking at additional rainfall on this already saturated ground. let me show you the timeline. early tomorrow morning we start to see rain especially along the coastline. along the peninsula. it kind of fizzles out as a lot of the rain moves inland. we continue to clean up from the flooding. there will be a secondary system

eldorado casino. the suspect was armed. he was shot and killed by officers after being confronted inside the casino. none of the officers or bystanders were injured. police cannot confirm if the suspect fired any shots. >> right now at nbc bay area, questions about whether deputies followed procedure when they broke into a home and killed the home owner inside. >> we have more on what they found. >> reporter: well, good morning, guys. it happened last september when sheriff's deputies went to conduct a welfare check on titus avenue in saratoga. after no one came to the door after deputies tried to get somebody to come to the door or answer the call for 50 minutes, they broke in and confronted retired navy veteran eugene

craig standing inside with his knife. they saw him with a gun in his hand and one deputy shot him to death. the attorney originally hired by the home owner's family have all raised questions whether they violated their own policies and procedures by breaking down the two doors without having a lieutenant or captain to supervise. the attorney told us they believe the deputies created the situation by needlessly forcing their way into a private home. now, the sheriff's department refuses to answer questions saying it is still an open case. lawyers for the deputy who shot did not respond. it is all on
