freeway. it is clear for 87. already this morning, give extra credit here. breaking news. a live look at a stabbing investigation. it's happening in mountain view. this particular vantage point from phyllis avenue where authorities closed off the street between camilla and pond avenue. we don't have any word right now on that person's condition. we do know the stabbing happened 10:30 last night. police say there are no other suspects. onto this developing story. crews in southern california

continue to sift through the rubble after a deadly and fiery plane crash. five people were headed home to san jose after a cheer competition in disneyland when it appeared to fall from the sky, crash be into homes below. >> bob, what are neighbors telling us? >> they live at this home here in san jose was an experienced pilot. he and his wife were both avid travelers. they chose this jet engine cessna falling from the sky shortly after riverside and a fireball.

the airplane crashed into two homes, smashed into pieces. one part of the airplane was caught a half mile away. no one was inside either home at the time of the crash. three of the five people on board died. there were two women both in their late 30s, early 40s, who did survive. at least one was ejected from the plane and was able to cry for help. >> i heard the lady that was pulled out. i heard her scream, help me, help me. we didn't know where she was. it was very scary. >> a neighbor confirms that is his wife.

it is not clear if a teenage girl was on board on its way back here to san jose. bob redell, today in the bay. thank you very much. authorities are calling the death of a woman struck and killed by a car in pittsburgh last night an unfortunate accident. a relative had just gotten into a scratch and notified family members who lived nearby. the driver stayed at the scene. according to police the driver was not impaired. >> happening today, we may get a better idea about the communication breakdowns after last week's flooding of coyote creek.

several warnings were given about the potential for flooding. they are expected to make some of their documents available today. yesterday we spoke with a family that lived in one of two red-tagged properties in san jose. they are trying to remove furniture and other valuables as quickly as they can. >> another 479 had yellow tags, which means some kind of repairs had to be repaired before residents can move back in. >> all right. we will follow that closely. cold again to start out your tuesday morning. conditions are also dry, kari. >> dry. and we'll be warming up the next

hanover street. they struck the victim in the head with something, leaving him head trauma. he is now in stable condition. no description of the suspect was given at this point. kris, we're expecting more witness testimony today in the murder trial of sierra lamar. the strand of hair found on a rope in the trunk of garcia torres's car. they said it contained sierra lamar's dna. the defense is trying to prove the evidence may have been contaminated. protesters are calling for an end of use to pesticides in san francisco parks and natural areas as well. a protest is planned for 1:00 this afternoon at civic center plaza raoeutd before the board of supervisors meeting with the

58 in the mission district. 59 in novato. santa rosa will see a high of 62. as we go through the day in oakland, many more people getting out on the roadways heading to work. it will be 49 degrees. still very chilly. 1:00, 56 degrees. as we get a look across the region we have seen light snow showers farther north of us. that will continue to move off toward the east. we will not see any of that moisture. as we go through the next several days, more dry weather. as we head into the weekend, things start to get a little bit more dicey. clouds moving in on saturday. there may be spotty showers for the north bay. it holds off until sunday with heavy downpours just briefly. and then moving out on monday. then we will see if we have more

roadway in mountain view. it is phyllis. this is right by marshall, where i had one of my favorite jobs outside the family company. that is about four or five blocks away at hans. it is a popular cut through between el camino and grant road. that is not available right now. still very early. we will continue to track that. out to the rest of the bay, we talk about slow out of the altamonte pass. things start to lighten up. 24 minutes for 580. we have 12 minutes for highway 84. so far nothing unusual. 13 minutes, that is the least we have seen off to the bay bridge, highway 4. no problems for any of our mass
