also talk about economic opportunities here at home. he was reportedly working at the details of his speech as late as last night. we will carry his congressional address here on nbc bay area. we'll start coverage at 6:00. be sure to join us for a special edition of nbc bay area news immediately following that democratic response. 6:on 04. the pressure mounting on congress to condemn the recent wave of bomb threats made against jewish centers across the country. similar threats were called in three jewish centers in the bay area. anti defamation league office in san francisco, palo alto and ocean marin jcc all had to evacuate. breaking news on the bomb threat in downtown san francisco at 5:00 yesterday. representatives say there is fear growing in the community. >> to have them have to be evacuated because of a threat

that they may be tkpwhroepb up is terrorizing and fear inducing the. it is a very serious matter. >> across the country, 20 bomb threats were called in. that's just yesterday. no explosives were found in any of those. 100 head stones at a jewish sepl tore in philadelphia were knocked of. police in the south bay are investigating the tack of a young woman not far from sap ta clara university. it happened sunday morning as they walked on the sidewalk at lafayette and popular street. they are not revealing exactly what happened. according to the mercury news, the victim is a santa clara university student. investigators have not yet released a sketch of the suspect. water is no longer being released from lake oroville as they shut down the dam's outflow so they can do repair work.

they will stay close up to seven days forcing it to rise back up to 850 feet. that is 50 feet below capacity. 6:06 right now. is six families are out of their homes in san pablo this morning. their mobile homes were red tagged as they slid down into a creek. investigators say this park has had similar issues to this in the past. police are teaming up with the red cross to find shelters. movie lovers are ready to roll out the red carpet for one of the bay areas's popular film vest valls. it kicks off at the beautiful california theater on first street. a special screening of a new movie featuring amanda siefred and shirley mclane.

month. it is raising its electric transition. customers who use more power will likely pay less. people who use less power will likely pay more. city khraoerdz in menlo park will talk about hiring more armed officers. the department wants to add 17 officers to the bay front area which is, as you know, where facebook headquarters are and the area going with other businesses and homes as well. they are funding a policing unit for the first five years. we have been saying uber has had a bad week. it is extending to a balanced month. >> one of its top engineers or one of the top engineers in the world was senior vice president at uber used to be with tkpaog el.

he left rather suddenly last year and ended with uber. he left google after he was accused of improper behavior with a female employee. google's investigation ended when he left. but rico said he didn't tell uber about those allegations. with their own allegations of sexual harassment when they found out he was dismissed. i wouldn't be surprised if you saw little to no movement. the joint address to congress. they will talk about spending. promises of big government spending is what is driving much of the rally on wall street. there is a conflict ahead. he wants to cut taxes. his own republican party, and speaker ryan in particular, are not happy with that because budgets increase spending and

an arrest was made overnight in a stabbing in mountain view. it looks still pretty active behind you, pete. we know phyllis avenue is blocked off at hanss camilla. we do know that a suspect has been detained. that victim was transported to a local hospital. according to mountain view police, it took place at 10:00 p.m. when police arrived the victim

neighbor that lives next to the pilot. the pilot lived in this he was an experienced pilot and he and his wife avid travelers. it is is sad. it shows the cessna 310 from riverside municipal airport. it passes by a surveillance camera 4:30 yesterday afternoon. the plane carrying five people. crashed into two homes, setting both on fire. at least one part of the airplane found a half mile away. three of the five people on board died. two men, both in their late 30s, early 40s, survived. both being treated for their injuries. one who was ejected from the plane, was able to cry for help. >> i heard the lady who was

pulled out. i heard her scream, help me, help me. i need help. we just didn't know where she was. it was very scary. you can see cell phone video shot by a woman where the plane crashed. it shows a man running from one homes that caught fire he was doing a cross word puzzle when the plane crashed through his roof about 15 feet from where he was sitting. >> i jumped up, ran in the front door, opened it. i got a little burn. that's my own injury. >> they flew to southern california for a cheer competition at disneyland. it is not clear if a teenage girl was on board the plane.

live in san jose, bob redell, today in the bay. several students are out of their classroom at contra kostra clayton high school. a nude photo of an administrator was passed around. they are not defending the sharing but she is concerned with how they investigated. >> they take people out of class and threaten them with suspension if they don't hand over their phones, which is against the law. >> the contra kos sheriff's department is also investigating this issue.

this morning san francisco police are asking for help in catching suspects behind what could be a hate crime. a man was attacked by two men early saturday morning in the amazon neighborhood near low well and hanover street. no description was given. we might get a better idea about the communication breakdown ahead of last week'sing of coyote creek. it cost $70 million in damage. they held multiple meetings with the emergency operation center and multiple warnings were given about the potential for flooding. said they had no warning about the upcoming flood.

they are expected to make it public later today. many san jose flood victims are only starting a long road to recovery. yesterday we spoke to one family that lived in one of the two red-tagged properties. they are trying to remove valuables as quickly as they can. >> another 479 have been yellow tagged. that's a figure way down from the 1300 or so earlier in the week. kind of repairs will have to happen before they can move back in.

tahoe. the bay shows you a pretty typical pattern. you see the volume build. it shows the unusual unexpected flooding. rocks reportedly blocking the left two lanes as you head out towards the altamonte pass. we're tracking this. a smoother drive westbound once you get to the dublin interchange. there is a little extra flowing there. this looks great around the bay, approaching the bay bridge. no major surprises. and a delay for the capital corridor but no other major transit systems.

deputies on the scene at madeline drive next to a local elementary school, linda vista elementary school. the rest of the information about what they are investigating is limited. a shooting happened right near an elementary school. we will bring you more information as soon as we get it. also new this morning, a woman is after she was hit by a car in what investigators are calling a very unfortunate accident. it happened 7:00 last night in pittsburgh. a relative of that woman got into a crash and told family members who live nearby. a third car hit that woman as she crossed the street to check on the driver, her relative. the driver stayed on the scene and was not impaired. police are showing images of two b.b. guns.
