today. we are still feeling mild weather. 58 degrees in san jose. 49 in morgan hill. 47 in santa rosa. down a half a mile visibility at half moon bay. a mile and a quarter in san martin. we'll talk about those cooler temperatures coming up in a few minutes. mike is tracking the impact that may have on your drive. >> we have the readings over on your map. they are for a specific region. we have cameras to emphasize what's going on as well. we have our camera pointed directly below the building. westbound 80. about a quarter mile away. golden gate bridge, where kari just showed you. the northern side out of marin county, very tough drive getting to and from the golden gate

bridge as well. the map shows you no real slowing. despite that fog around the coast as well. highway 1. everything else is clear. chp reports. back to you. developing overnight, within the past few hours, a massive manhunt has been called off after a deadly shooting. but one of the suspects is still out there. cal state east bay on lockdown for several hours. >> bob redell is live at the hayward police department. it was actually fremont police who first opened fire. a lot to untangle this morning. good morning to you, sam and laura. fremont police detectives were operating here in hayward because they had tracked down possible criminals wanted back home in fremont. it was 5:20 last night. those detectives attempted to stop a vehicle. the city view apartments near cal state east bay.

fremont police believes this was a stolen vehicle wanted in connection with a number of armed robberies in fremont and other parts of the bay area. the driver of the vehicle drove into the fremont police car and hurt both detectives. they opened fire at the driver and ended up hitting a woman in the vehicle. it's not clear if she was a driver or a passenger. the vehicle continued on for a short distance but eventually crashed. that woman was transported to a hospital where she died of her injuries. police took into custody a man and woman also in the suspect vehicle. another man, the third person from that vehicle, did escape. a shelter in place at the university village apartment complex. that shelter in place, that su shutdown has been lifted. the male suspect is still on the loose. the two police detectives were treated and released. the district attorney's office are investigating this officer-involved shooting.

bob redell, today in the bay. bob, thank you for the very latest. major developing news affecting a lot of accounts, hundreds of them hacked on twitter. that includes businesses, broadcast corporations, even celebrities like justin bieber. attackers have posted pro turkey messages supporting that country's president. volkswagen india, starbucks argentina. justin bieber's japan twitter account. messages sent on those accounts were in turkish. many include hashtags which translate to mean nazi germany and nazi holland. this happens as voters in the netherlands are heading to the polls to pick their next leadership in government later today.

it is going to bring us back to where we should be for the middle of march. highs in the is 60s. but looking still at some spotty showers continuing to be closer to the bay area. and then by this evening, a lot of the rain fizzles out. we'll have a more significant chance heading into late saturday night, early sunday morning with a round of showers mostly in the north bay once again and then the rest of the bay area seeing the rain moving in on monday and tuesday. this could be a very heavy rain maker the start of next week. it will bring in the potential for an inch of rain, two for the north bay. the south bay, south of the golden gate will have an inch

and a quarter or less. still mostly dry. it will be nice the next couple of days. and then for san francisco, going to see showers moving back in early sunday morning. heading over to mike, we have a crash in fremont. >> it doesn't sound like a big deal. but we're watching for the potential for an early morning commute. no fog in this area either. north bound 880 from mission to fremont, we have that report of a crash. no change for the speed sensors. a smooth easy drive-through the east bay, upper east shore. the east shore freeway last week we couldn't see anything beyond the denny's sign.

welcome back, everyone. 4:55. flames and smoke bursting from a boat yard in miami. crews were work to go get the scene under control. luckily, no one was hurt in the blaze. we will keep you updated as we learn what happened caused that fire. an investigation into the nude photo scandal plaguing branches of the military. on capitol hill yesterday, military leaders testifying in front of senators at the heart of the problem. nude photos of a female marine on a facebook page without their concept. they posted to a 30,000 member group called marines united.
