construction zone. nothing unusual. 280 on the peninsula coming up. new, we have been following an overnight chase and shooting that left people on the east bay on edge. it happened in antioch within the last couple of hours. pete suratos is live with the details. what can you tell us at this point, pete? >> yeah. good morning to you. that information is very limited at this time. a shooting incident. actually just moments ago before this live report. they took down the crime tape -- excuse me, the police tape. antioch police still here. this is accordingly to assure you we spoke to antioch police. they responded to shots fired call in another part of town. that was around 10:00 p.m. when they got to that scene, the

car associated with that fled the were scene and led them on a pursuit. police say there is one victim. it is not known if it is the suspect or antioch police officer that is the victim. clearly a lot of questions need to be answered. for folks in this area -- >> sounds like we're having trouble communicating. >> live in antioch, pete suratos, today in the bay. >> and he comes back. developing news out of washington. it appears republicans and democrats can agree on one thing. there is absolutely no evidence of a wiretap on trump tower during the presidential campaign. but the white house is still sticking to its story.

a weekend with cooler temperatures and a chance of rain. we are still seeing the system well offshore. as we go into this afternoon, highs reaching the upper 70s. a slight chance of rain in the weekend forecast. this looking ahead to next week as well coming up in five minutes. looking at the tri-valley, no major problems. highway 84 at the bottom of your screen, light flow through the construction zone. bart trains are up and running in the east bay of a night of problems that led to major delays. you probably noticed them in the lived there. a light fix khr above lacher ca was hanging. a bart supervisor reported seeing sparks and smoke. trains on the fremont and dublin lines had to be diverted as crews fixed that problem.

with the ever rising costs of housing in the bay area, you would think fewer people are buying, but that's not the case. last month had the fiercest bidding of the nation took place in san francisco. they are going for the highest price. and they aren't on the market long either. google el and levi's created a sport jean jacket that lets you control your phone with your sleeves. the jacket makes use of technology underdevelopment by google since 2015. it combines metallic alloys to create test sensitive, interactive fabric. the first of its kind jacket will sexual for $350 and should hit store shelves this fall. how do you wash it?

afternoon if you can believe it. we start out cool. we will see the temperatures quickly jumping up as we go through the day. reaching into the upper 70s and near 80 degrees in parts of the bay area. then as we head into the weekend, going to start to see more clouds moving in by monday, the rain moves into the north bay. and heavy downpours possible during the afternoon. the rest of the bay area may not see the rain until late monday night, into tuesday, with widespread heavy rain. this shows we will see a change in the pattern. several storm systems moving in. maybe thursday will be our dry day in the forecast. looking at the potential for monday through thursday seeing rain that may total two to three inches for northern sonoma county. for spots like southern sonoma, napa, marin, two inches of rain. for an area south of the golden

the help of the transportation department. this is baby vivian born on tuesday during that blizzard in connecticut. she was having trouble breathing and had to get to a different medical center 30 miles away. with 20 inches of snow and a travel ban in place, doctors knew it would be a doozy to get her there. the tent of transportation stepped in to keep the highways clear for that ambulance. >> it is a situation we take very is seriously. we clearly wanted to get out to help this baby. >> we had to let her go. that was the hardest part. >> baby vivian is getting better. her mother is still in rove but also doing well. should the federal government get a warrant to obtain a person's cell phone

a mountain view police officer is recovering after suspects rammed the officer's patrol car. this is a picture sent from the mountain view police department. the crash happened near 101 right near an in-n-out burger. officers were in the area investigating a rash of car thefts and burglaries when they spotted the suspect. the two men are now in custody. no word yet on that officer's injuries. a man who worked with hundreds of children is facing pornography charges. the 71-year-old film teacher will be in court this afternoon. he was the director of the education system at california film institute in san rafael for nearly 20 years. he worked with kids in workshops

involved in human trafficking. police say she grew to believe the pair would help her get back to her family in southern california. a troubling report for parents this morning. federal officials say the palo alto unified school district failed to quickly and thoroughly investigate reports of sexual harassment against students and employees. the department of education office for civil rights found at least nine instances where there was no evidence that the district even investigated sexual assault claims. it reported complaints between 2011 and now. they voted last week to work with the federal government to work its federal processes. we are learning the 16-year-old girl from antioch who was killed during an undercover police operation was pregnant. she died tuesday in hayward after fremont police tried to arrest suspected armed rob.

the flames brought down a construction crane at one point. fortunately, no reports of any injury. developing overnight, an emt is dead after being run over by aen ambulance in new york. we have to warn you some viewers may find this video disturbing. i know i did. two emts were in the bronx when a 25-year-old man stole their ambulance. cell phone video shows that ambulance speeding across an intersection with one door wide open and one of the workers being dragged under the vehicle. both were run over before the driver crashed the ambulance into a snowdrift. one died at the hospital. the other is still in critical condition this morning. police later arrested the driver. secretary of state rex tillerson is in south korea. earlier he visited the demilitaryized zone that separates the country from north korea. the heavily fortified border has
